๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 1. Announcement on Support for Defected Youths and Older Individuals:

On February 11, the Ministry of Defense announced that if youths or older individuals who have been forced into the military by the illegal military regime seek to defect, they will be offered full assistance. If these individuals bring weapons or ammunition with them, they will be appropriately rewarded. The announcement states that the terrorist military junta has been resorting to the ruthless method of forcibly conscripting youths and the elderly to address its manpower shortage.

The Ministry of Defense further emphasized that defecting youths and older individuals should contact the People’s Defense Forces (PDF), the People’s Defense Group (Pa Ka Pha), or the People’s Defense Forces’ social media pages, or the “People’s Heart” Telegram channel (@MyanmarPeople) to ensure their safety. Once they arrive, proper security will be provided, and they will be given rewards commensurate with the weapons or ammunition they bring.

It was also stated that regardless of whether these individuals are defecting during military training or after completing it with weapons, they should promptly connect with relevant revolutionary groups (PDF, Pa Ka Pha, Pa Ah Pha, Pa La Pha, and ethnic revolutionary organizations) and seek refuge.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 2. Release of Human Rights Violations Data Dashboard:

On February 11, the Ministry of Human Rights launched an updated Human Rights Violations Data Dashboard, which tracks and reports the human rights violations committed by the terrorist military junta. The data is continuously updated to allow for easy reference and study. The dashboard includes incidents broken down by time, region, and type of violation. According to the data, there have been a total of 16,178 reported incidents of human rights violations to date.

The Ministry announced that the information would be regularly updated, particularly within the first week of each month.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 3. KNU Leader Calls for Fundamental Rights to Be Included in Political Constitution:

On February 11, at the 77th anniversary of Karen National Day, the Chairman of the Karen National Union (KNU), Pado Saw Kwe Htoo Win, stated that fundamental rights such as freedom, equality, and the right to shape one's destiny must be enshrined in the national political constitution.

He emphasized that for a nation to progress, its people must have access to rights like freedom and equality. These rights should be incorporated into the foundational legal framework of the country. He condemned the military dictatorship's ideology, which hinders the long-term survival and development of ethnic groups, describing it as an authoritarian and oppressive mindset.

He further called for the dismantling of the military dictatorship and its agents.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 4. Call for Defected Soldiers and Militants to Contact Pa Ka Pha in Kayin State:

On February 11, the Kayin State People’s Defense Forces (Pa Ka Pha) announced that individuals who wish to defect, including military personnel and militants with weapons, can contact their organization. The group assured that these defectors would be safely accommodated and protected. They provided contact information through their social media pages and emphasized that defection should be made as soon as possible.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 5. BGF Leaders to Be Investigated by Thai DSI for Human Trafficking:

On February 11, it was reported by Thai media that the Thai Department of Special Investigation (DSI) is preparing to present evidence of human trafficking involving leaders of the Border Guard Forces (BGF) to the court for prosecution and arrest. According to the DSI, this includes key figures such as Major General Saw Chit Thu, Saw Mote Thun, and Tin Win.

Currently, the Thai military has established security measures near the Myanmar-Thai border in the vicinity of the Shwe Koko area.
