During the 77th Chin National Day ceremony on February 22, Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun emphasized the importance of unity, strength, and collective cooperation. He also expressed confidence that the people will ultimately prevail.

The event featured traditional Chin cultural performances, and members of the Chin ethnic community residing in Georgia attended the celebration.

During the 78th Union Day celebration held in Tokyo, Japan, the Ethnic Nationalities Solidarity Organization (AUN-Japan) presented the Social Excellence Award to Prof. Katsuya Soda, the Secretary-General of NPO-PEACE, in recognition of his continuous efforts in humanitarian assistance and peace initiatives for Myanmar.

The Ministry of Women, Youth, and Children Affairs of the National Unity Government expressed its deep appreciation and formally honored Prof. Katsuya Soda for his unwavering support for Myanmar.

More than 15 million people in Myanmar are currently facing food insecurity, and millions more are living without access to safe shelter and clean drinking water, according to a February report by UN OCHA Myanmar.

As Myanmar citizens continue to face disruptions in education and healthcare services, over 15 million people are struggling with food shortages, while countless others lack access to secure housing and potable water.

According to the 2025 Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan, humanitarian aid workers aim to provide life-saving assistance to 5.5 million people. However, an estimated $1.1 billion USD will be required to meet these urgent humanitarian needs.
