On March 28, while civilians were struggling with the aftermath of the 7.7-magnitude earthquake that struck central Myanmar, the junta carried out aerial attacks in multiple areas.

Although the junta declared a state of emergency for disaster management in the affected regions, including Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Naypyidaw, and northeastern Shan State, it simultaneously targeted civilian-populated areas through airstrikes.

A representative from the Special Region 1 Health Department in Lashio stated that earthquake victims will receive free treatment as part of humanitarian assistance.

However, due to ongoing tensions with the military junta, MNDAA has been unable to transport injured victims from affected areas.
