๐๐ 1. Union Minister U Aung Myo Min to Meet with Myanmar Nationals Residing in South Korea

The National Unity Government’s Ministry of Human Rights has announced that Union Minister U Aung Myo Min will hold a public consultation and discussion session with Myanmar nationals residing in South Korea. The event is scheduled to take place on May 18, 2025, at the Workers’ Welfare and Multi-purpose Hall in Incheon, South Korea.
Accordingly, Myanmar nationals who are actively participating in the Spring Revolution have been invited to attend and engage in the discussion.
Union Minister U Aung Myo Min is also set to attend the 45th Anniversary of the May 18 Gwangju Democratic Uprising and the “World Human Rights City Forum 2025”, during which he will present and discuss the current human rights situation in Myanmar.

๐๐ 2. All Ground-Level Schools Temporarily Closed in Myine Township to Avoid Casualties from Airstrikes

To prevent civilian casualties resulting from aerial bombardments, the Myine Township Education Board issued Announcement No. (1/2025) on May 12, declaring the temporary closure of all ground-level schools in the township.
This decision comes in response to the recent brutal aerial attack carried out by the terrorist military council on Ohtain Twin Village in the same township, which reportedly resulted in the tragic loss of lives among teachers and students.
As a preventive measure, and to enable students and teachers to temporarily take shelter from potential future airstrikes, the Education Board has officially announced the temporary closure of all ground-level schools within Myine Township.

๐๐ 3. Forty-Three Construction Workers from KCR Co. Ltd in Ayutthaya, Thailand File Complaint Over Unpaid Wages and Dismissal

Forty-three workers employed by the KCR Co. Ltd construction company in Ayutthaya District, Thailand, were reportedly dismissed from their jobs without receiving their due wages. In response, all 43 affected workers filed a formal complaint seeking assistance at the Sarawadee Pond Office in Ayutthaya District.
The complaint was submitted jointly by officials from the Ministry of Labour and the MHAC organization, who visited the site in person to assist in the process.
It has been announced that workers who face violations of their labour rights can report their cases via phone, through social media applications, or by emailing complaint@molmyanmar.org.

๐๐ 4. Student Succumbs to Injuries from Airstrike on Ohtain Twin Village

It has been confirmed by the Pa-Ah-Pha of Depayin Township on May 13 that one of the students injured during the aerial bombardment on Ohtain Twin Village, located in Depayin Township, Sagaing Region, has passed away from his injuries.
The deceased was identified as Maung Swan Ko Ko, also known as U Maung Zaw G7. The announcement included a message of condolence:
“May such tragedies never befall anyone again in the course of life.”
The airstrike on Ohtain Twin Village took place on May 12, and according to ground-level data collection, a total of 102 individuals were reportedly injured in the incident.
