๐ฉ๐ฉ 1. Junta Airstrike on a Monastery Shelter in Sagaing’s Lintalu Village Kills Around 30 Displaced Civilians
July 11
An airstrike by the Myanmar military junta targeted a Buddhist monastery sheltering displaced civilians in Lintalu Village, Sagaing Township, resulting in the deaths of approximately 30 civilians. Due to the high number of injured, the death toll is expected to rise, according to U Nay Phone Latt, spokesperson for the Office of the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government (NUG), who made the announcement on social media.
The attack occurred during the midnight hours between July 10 and 11, when junta aircraft conducted two separate bombing raids on the monastery. Local sources confirmed that the airstrikes directly hit civilians sheltering at the site.
The NUG spokesperson stated that the monastery, which was housing internally displaced persons (IDPs), was bombed twice and that approximately 30 displaced people, including children and the elderly, were killed. He noted that the toll may increase, and many others sustained injuries. This information was released in both Burmese and English languages.
Most of the affected IDPs were originally from Kyaw Zeya Village. While medical aid is being provided to the wounded, there remains a severe shortage of doctors and nurses to deliver adequate care.
This massacre follows another junta atrocity on May 12, when the military used cluster bombs in an airstrike on a school in Ohthein Kwin Village, Depayin Township, also in Sagaing Region. That attack killed nearly 30 students and teachers and injured around 100 people.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 4. Myanmar Junta Launches Airstrike on Border Town of Mawtaung near the Thai Border
July 11
On July 10, the Myanmar military junta carried out an airstrike on Mawtaung, a border town in Tanintharyi Township along the Myanmar–Thailand border, according to a July 11 statement from the Karen National Union (KNU) Brigade 4, Myeik–Dawei District.
The attack targeted Ward No. 9 in Mawtaung, where a bomb dropped by junta aircraft destroyed a civilian home. This is reportedly the first time the junta has launched an airstrike in the Mawtaung border area, and no civilian casualties were reported.
Previously, on July 8, troops from the junta’s Light Infantry Battalion 282 shelled the KNU-controlled Myeik–Dawei District using 120 mm artillery. The shelling struck a civilian residence between Kawhlain and Mayan Chaung villages, killing four family members—including three young children—and injuring their mother.
The deceased family had been displaced from the Myeik Delta region. The victims included children aged 1, 2.5, and 11 years, and their 50-year-old father. The 36-year-old mother was severely injured.
The KNU's central office stated that the junta has repeatedly violated human rights by targeting civilian areas, resulting in the deaths and injuries of many people, including children. The KNU strongly condemned these actions as grave violations of both human rights and children's rights.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 7. Fraudulent Facebook Account Using Yangon Region PDF-1 Name and Images to Solicit Fake Donations
July 11
A fake Facebook account under the name “Kyaw Kyaw” has been fraudulently collecting donations by using the name and images of Yangon Region People’s Defense Force – Battalion 1 (PDF-1), including its members, according to a warning issued by the group.
Although Yangon Region PDF-1 has maintained financial integrity throughout the revolution, dishonest individuals have been exploiting their name and images to solicit fake donations, forge honor certificates, and impersonate the organization—tarnishing both the force and the revolution’s reputation.
In response to the growing number of such scams, the group is urging the public to be vigilant when offering support. They advise verifying any donation requests—especially those using their images—directly with the official Facebook Page of Yangon Region PDF-1 before contributing.
The group also stated that it is taking concrete steps to identify and take action against those committing such fraud using their name and likeness.
This news was reported by Radio NUG correspondents Ko Khan and Tharki.
