๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 1. PDF Special Military Region Command Announces Plans to Intensify Operations in Cooperation with Allies

The Special Military Region Command of the People’s Defense Force (PDF), under the Ministry of Defense of the National Unity Government (NUG), has announced that it will intensify military operations in coordination with allied Ethnic Revolutionary Organizations (EROs) and Local PDFs (LPDFs).

The Special Military Region Command is an operational-level command organized with regiments and brigades from Military Operation Region (1), functioning directly under the command of the PDF Central Command. It falls under the operational control of the Military Command for Operation Area (1).

According to the statement:

“This Regional Command was organized with regiments and brigades under the Ministry of Defense in Karen State and Mon State. It was primarily formed to support ethnic revolutionary-controlled liberated areas as well as military operations in Bago and Yangon. Currently, there are ongoing operations in Karen, Mon, and Bago regions.”

The Special Military Region Command stated that it will coordinate the regiments, brigades, People’s Defense Battalions (PaKaFa), and drone units under its authority, while working together with allied EROs and LPDFs to accelerate military campaigns.

Its official Facebook page was launched on August 27, announcing that official statements, military activities, and matters related to military affairs will be released in a timely and legitimate manner.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 2. Four Civilians Killed in Four Airstrikes by Junta in Wetlet Township

According to the Wetlet Information Network, the junta carried out four airstrikes on Yone Pin Kone village in the southeastern part of Wetlet Township, Shwebo District, Sagaing Region.

On August 27, between 5:16 AM and 5:19 AM, a junta jet fighter from Tada-U Air Base conducted four consecutive airstrikes.

As a result, three men in their 40s and one woman in her 50s were killed. Around six other civilians sustained injuries.

After the airstrikes, junta forces stationed in Monywa also fired continuous artillery rounds using howitzers into the area, reports said.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 3. Four Civilians Injured by Junta Shelling in Hpakant

At around 12:30 AM on August 26, the junta fired 120-mm artillery shells from Hpakant Strategic Hill into Hpakant Township, Kachin State. The shells landed in Sut In Yan village, causing explosions that seriously injured four civilians.

The injured were identified as:

Daw Khawn Naw (hit by shrapnel in the right shoulder),

Ma Nge (injured in one eye),

Daw Thida Win (fractures in both legs and one arm),

U Ta Kaw (hit by shrapnel in the waist and abdomen, currently unconscious).

Among them, U Ta Kaw’s condition is critical. For Daw Thida Win, amputation of both legs may be necessary, and a blood donor is urgently being sought.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 4. At Least 10 Junta Soldiers Killed in Ambush on Military Convoy in Yebyu Township

According to the Rakhine Mon Army (RMA), resistance forces ambushed a junta military column in Yebyu Township, Tanintharyi Region, killing at least 10 junta soldiers.

On August 27, around 2:30 PM, resistance forces intercepted and attacked a junta convoy of approximately 100 reinforcements near 59-Mile, resulting in a direct clash that lasted for about one hour.

Preliminary reports indicate that at least 10 junta troops were killed. All allied resistance fighters were able to disengage without casualties.

The operation was carried out jointly by RMA units in Yebyu Township together with allied revolutionary forces.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 5. Seven Junta Soldiers Killed in Clash at Butalin

According to the Butalin Township Joint Column, a clash occurred with a junta military column coming out of Butalin Town, Monywa District, Sagaing Region, resulting in the deaths of 7 junta soldiers.

The battle broke out around 7 PM on August 26 near the eastern part of Pe Pyit Taw village in Butalin Township. In the clash, 7 junta soldiers were killed and many more were injured.

In addition, resistance forces seized one MA-1 rifle, one MA-11 rifle, two small arms, and related ammunition. The junta troops were forced to retreat.

The attack was jointly carried out by:

Butalin Township Joint Column,

Monywa District Battalion – 20 (BOB Battalion),

Pearl Township-based Captain Myat Lone Unit,

Myanmar Army Regional Command (2), Battalion 505,

Shwebo District Battalions (9) and (12), under Shwebo District Command No. (1),

Strategy 53-based Galon Army (Depayin),

Depayin Locan Mobile Team,

Northwest Plains Galaxy Force,

Phoenix Column,

Ye-U Township People’s Defense Force (PaKaFa), and

Kan Naugh Column.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 6. Six Drug Users Arrested in Kanma Township

Red Giant reported that six drug users were arrested in Kanma Township, Magway Region, at around 10 PM on August 22. Among them, three were civilians and three were affiliated with an organization.

Drugs, ammunition, and some weapons were also seized during the arrests.

The operation was jointly conducted by:

Red Giant,

ABSDF Battalion (3),

YGF Youth Guerrilla Force, and

Ko Tun Tauk Group.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 7. Newly Conscribed Soldier from Pakokku Battalion 101 Defects

On August 21, a newly conscripted soldier from Battalion 101, based in Pakokku, defected and surrendered to the “8+ Upland Operation Team” without a firearm, according to reports.

He was part of Recruitment Batch 11. After returning from abroad and traveling by passenger bus to his hometown, he was forcibly taken by junta forces along the Yangon–Monywa Road and conscripted.

The statement added that the resistance welcomes and supports junta soldiers and newly conscripted recruits who choose to defect.
