📌📌 4. The National League for Democracy will carry out the eradication of the military dictatorship

The National League for Democracy released a statement that it will carry out the eradication of the military dictatorship. On December 31, press release No. (14/2022) was issued. On the morning of February 1, 2021, the illegal military, which committed treason, arrested President U Win Myint and State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi. It has been found that the judges who did not respect the law issued a final order on December 30, 2022, imposing various prison sentences. “During the time that the President and the State Counselor were carrying out their national responsibilities, comprehensive development activities were carried out in accordance with existing laws and procedures. Because of their efforts, the National League for Democracy Party continued to be trusted by the entire population and won the 2020 election decisively,” it described.

Since the military council violated the laws and usurped the power of the state, it has committed arbitrary arrests, tortures, and killings in various ways against all truth-seeking people who oppose their rule, and the National League for Democracy has made consistent efforts to bring all those involved to justice. “Therefore, the NLD is committed to working for the immediate release of all those who have been unjustly detained, to bring about justice and to end the military dictatorship, as well as to form a close and open partnership with all revolutionary forces to establish a true federal democratic union in accordance with the wishes of the ethnic people and the public,” stated the NLD Central Working Committee.
