๐ฉ๐ฉ 5. Revolutionary Forces to Expand Control Over Highway Regions Soon
Revolutionary forces are expected to expand their control over entire highway regions shortly, according to an analysis shared by PDF Insight in December.
On December 12, at 3:00 PM, the People’s Defense Forces (PDF), alongside the Minhla District Battalion 4, Battalion 10, and the Sha Htoo Waw Drone Unit, launched an attack on a police outpost near Milepost 317 on the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway. The clash lasted for an hour, after which the forces retreated due to reinforcements from the junta’s side.
This attack demonstrated the PDF’s capability to penetrate and strike in the expressway region, which remains the only highway of its kind in the country. It highlights the military junta's declining control over the area. PDF Insight predicts that revolutionary forces will soon extend their dominance over the entire highway zone.
Beyond the expressway, clashes and increased operations by revolutionary forces are also occurring across other roadways nationwide.
These military updates were reported by Min Thihan, a correspondent for Radio NUG.
