The Commander-in-Chief of the Chin Defense Force (CDF-Mindat) personally visited and encouraged those injured in the battle to reclaim Mindat Town, according to official reports.

Additionally, photographic evidence documenting the destruction of civilian homes in Mindat Town by the military junta was also shared.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 2. Weapons and Ammunition Seized from Junta Soldiers Who Fled from Ann Township

The Chin Defense Force-Asho (CDF-Asho) has reported seizing weapons and ammunition from junta soldiers who fled from Ann Township, Rakhine State.

Following the capture of the Western Regional Command Headquarters (Na Pa Kha) in Ann Township by the Arakan Army (AA), junta troops scattered and fled. Near the Pyin Wun checkpoint on the Ann-Padan road, approximately 1,500 meters west of the checkpoint, CDF-Asho successfully blocked two columns of approximately 90 junta soldiers.

Some soldiers surrendered peacefully and laid down their arms, while others fled in different directions. Over the course of three days, 17 junta soldiers were captured during follow-up operations. A significant quantity of weapons, ammunition, and military supplies were confiscated, according to the report.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 3. Junta Troop That Raided a CRA Camp in Chauk Arrests a Ninth-Grade Student

A military column from the junta, originating from Kon Gyi Pyu Village in Chauk Township, raided a Chauk Revolution Army (CRA) camp and arrested a ninth-grade student on their return, according to a statement by the CRA.

The incident occurred on the morning of December 27 at around 8:30 a.m. A junta force of approximately 100 troops arrived near the CRA camp, leading to an exchange of fire that lasted over an hour.

Due to their smaller numbers, the CRA troops were forced to retreat. In retaliation, the junta column burned and destroyed the CRA checkpoint located on the Kon Gyi-Nyaung Swe Taung road.

On their way back, the junta troops also burned three homes in Kan Thit Kone Village and arrested a 14-year-old ninth-grade student named Maung Min Khant.

Additionally, two houses in Nyaung Swe Taung Village were damaged by indiscriminate artillery shelling from the junta forces.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 4. Clash Between Junta Troops and PDF in Taungtha Township Leaves Two Soldiers and One PDF Fighter Dead

On December 27, a battle broke out between approximately 70 junta soldiers advancing west of Thapyaypin Village in Taungtha Township and the No. 3 Battalion of Myinchan District, according to reports.

The junta forces were supported by an Mi-35 helicopter during the clash. After the battle, two junta soldiers were killed, and eight others were injured. Seized items included two G3 magazines, three hand grenades, 80 rounds of ammunition, and one 40mm grenade.

One PDF fighter, Zinn Min Htaik (a.k.a. Htaik Gyi), was martyred during the battle. Tributes were paid to honor his supreme sacrifice.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 5. Two Junta Soldiers Captured During Raid on Communication Base on Mount Popa

The Popa Production & Guerilla Force (PPGF) reported a raid on the junta's communication base on Mount Popa in Kyaukpadaung Township, Nyaung-U District, Mandalay Region.

On December 27 at 6:00 p.m., the guerrilla force targeted the communication base manned by three junta soldiers. Two soldiers, including an officer, were captured alive.

One soldier managed to escape into the surrounding civilian area. For the safety of the civilians, no further attempts to capture him were made.

The operation was a joint effort between the Popa Production & Guerilla Force (PPGF) and Myingyan Black Tiger (MBT). During the raid, one MA-11 rifle, one Uzi submachine gun, and some ammunition were seized.

Although the two captured soldiers were initially detained under the laws of war, they later attempted to escape, leaving the forces no choice but to neutralize them.

The public has been urged to avoid organizing celebrations, festivals, or any close contact with junta soldiers for their own safety. Additionally, citizens are encouraged to participate in fundraising efforts such as the "Flag Raising" and "Golden Land Lottery Ticket" campaigns organized by the Popa Guerrilla Force.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 6. Junta's Violent Acts in Hpa Pun District Claim Three Lives, Including Two Children, and Injure Eleven Others

The Karen National Union (KNU) reported that violent acts by the military junta in Moo and Ler Doh Townships of Hpa Pun District, Kawthoolei Administrative Region, have resulted in three civilian deaths, including two children, and injuries to 11 others.

  • December 21: At around 8:00 a.m., two men, aged 33 and 44, from Thay Gelu Village, were injured after stepping on landmines planted by junta forces.
  • December 22: At approximately 6:55 p.m., two artillery shells fired by junta forces hit Twanee Kone Village, injuring a 45-year-old woman.
  • December 23: At 4:45 p.m., Battalion 439 of the junta dropped a bomb using a drone in Khin Gyi Village. Four minutes later, two more bombs were dropped in Inn Taw Kan Village, injuring a 35-year-old woman.
  • December 22: At 3:30 a.m., a clash occurred in Bhu Yar Zi Kone Village of Ler Doh Township, where a 45-year-old woman was shot and killed. Junta troops also detained a villager during their clearance operations, who was later released.
  • On the same day, two villagers were injured after stepping on landmines during a junta raid on Kholo Village. At 1:14 p.m., junta forces dropped two bombs on Kholo Village using drones, injuring three villagers. At 2:15 p.m., another bomb was dropped on Thamin Kone Village, injuring one person.
  • December 25: At 6:00 p.m., junta forces fired three 120mm artillery shells from Nat Than Kwin Village. Later, at 6:30 p.m., one more shell was fired, hitting Taw Gyaung Baw Village. A 12-year-old boy and his 7-year-old sister were killed, while a 30-year-old woman was injured.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 7. Civilians Killed by Artillery Fired by Military Junta in Pauktaw

In Pauktaw Township, Rakhine State, a civilian was killed by artillery shells fired by the military junta's forces stationed in Sittwe, according to reports from the Rakhine-based APM.

On the evening of December 27, at approximately 8:30 PM, continuous artillery fire was launched by the junta’s 344th Artillery Unit and Point Camp on the Pauktaw area.

During the attack, one shell landed in Taung Nyo Village, Pauktaw Township, where it exploded and killed an innocent civilian woman.

The victim was identified as Daw Myint Thein Wai, a 52-year-old resident of Taung Nyo Village. She reportedly succumbed to a fatal injury caused by shrapnel that pierced her left chest.

Additional reports state that seven artillery shells landed near Ngapyi Kyun Awkan Village, one in Taung Nyo Village, and six between Ngapyi Kyun Aleywa and Thayet Taw villages.

Murder and robbery suspects involved in recent crimes in Monywa Township, Sagaing Region, have been identified and apprehended, according to an announcement by the Monywa PDF (People’s Defense Force).

On December 26, around 7:00 AM, a robbery and murder incident occurred on Mokoung Road in Ward 4 of Thalla in Monywa Township. Following the event, suspects were arrested within 12 hours under the leadership of the Monywa Township PDF commander and the PDF Battalion (1).

The suspects include six individuals: four males and two females, aged between 17 and 22.

Investigations into the suspects are ongoing, with further developments to be shared as new information arises.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 9. Salin PDF Successfully Conducts 45-Day Intensive Combat Training

The People’s Defense Force of Salin Township (PDF-Salin) in Magway Region has successfully conducted a 45-day intensive combat training program in the Soemo territory, according to reports.

The closing ceremony of the special training course was attended by the Salin PDF commander and other responsible personnel. Graduates of the training were commended for their dedication and resilience in completing the course under challenging conditions.

It was emphasized that the group of recruits, formed with noble intentions, aims to transform into a comprehensive military and political force. They were urged to fully understand and effectively implement the strategies of the People's War Doctrine.
