In a statement released on the 62nd Ta’ang National Revolution Day, the Pa Laung State Liberation Front/Ta’ang National Liberation Army (PSLF/TNLA) declared its commitment to work in solidarity with revolutionary forces across Myanmar to completely overthrow the Myanmar military council (SAC). The statement emphasized that this is vital to ensure the long-term preservation of the fruits of the revolution achieved by the Ta’ang people.

The Ta’ang National Revolution began on January 12, 1963, and as of January 12, 2025, it marks its 62nd anniversary.

The PSLF/TNLA paid tribute to Ta’ang parents, soldiers, and leaders who made immense sacrifices, including their lives, sweat, and resources, over the years to liberate the Ta’ang people from oppression and to establish their right to self-determination. It stated that their contributions will be eternally honored and recorded in history.

The statement noted that the joint resistance efforts of ethnic armed groups, Spring Revolution forces, and people across the country have dealt significant defeats to the SAC in battles. It highlighted that the military regime, which has suffered continuous losses, has resorted to war crimes, such as airstrikes, artillery shelling, arson, and massacres targeting civilian areas, including hospitals, schools, religious buildings, markets, and homes.

The PSLF/TNLA also recognized the Ta’ang people’s collaborative efforts with armed groups, leaders, and civilians in liberating most of the Ta’ang region from SAC troops and administrative mechanisms. It described this as a monumental victory for the Ta’ang people’s revolution.

Furthermore, the PSLF/TNLA reaffirmed its alignment with the political roadmap led by the Ta’ang Political Consultative Committee (TPCC). The statement emphasized the continued coordination among revolutionary forces, political parties, and civil society organizations to establish a "Revolutionary Government" during this transitional period and to pave the way for the emergence of a "People’s Government" as swiftly as possible.
