๐ฉ๐ฉ 1. Three Civilians Killed, 10 Injured in Airstrike by SAC in Northern Kalay Township
January 18
In northern Kalay Township, Sagaing Region, an airstrike by the SAC (State Administration Council) near Sawbwar Yeshin Village this morning around 7:00 AM resulted in the deaths of three civilians and injuries to 10 others, according to local sources. A ground-level source stated that the information is preliminary.
The People’s Defense Forces (PDF) in Sagaing reported that the airstrike targeted areas south of Kanbalu Township near Sawbwar Yeshin Village, killing three local residents and injuring approximately 10 others.
The SAC has recently intensified airstrikes in townships controlled by resistance forces. According to local defense groups, the SAC is focusing on areas it can no longer control, resorting to air attacks.
On January 16, the SAC launched an airstrike on Khanpat Town in Tamu District at around 8:30 PM, killing two civilians, including a 3-year-old child, and injuring others. Another airstrike on Myaung Town killed three residents, including a woman.
Given the likelihood of continued airstrikes by the SAC, warnings about aircraft movements have been shared among civilians to enhance safety.

January 18
In Nyaung Shwe Township, Southern Shan State, artillery shells fired by the SAC at Baw Lone Village in the Sanka area struck displaced civilians sheltering near a monastery. This incident, which occurred around 1:00 PM on January 17, killed four displaced civilians, including a child, and injured more than 10 others, according to local sources.
The artillery shells were fired from west of Biluu Creek, with no active fighting in the area at the time. Observers suspect it was a random attack by the SAC.
