๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 1. Ta'ang Health Council and PSLF/TNLA Strongly Condemn the Aerial Attack on Kyaukme Hospital

January 26, Radio NUG

The Ta’ang Health Council (THC) and the PSLF/TNLA have strongly condemned the bombing of the Kyaukme Public Hospital in Northern Shan State by two jet fighters belonging to the SAC (State Administration Council) on January 25. They also expressed their condolences for those killed and injured in the attack.

During the bombing, a CDM (Civil Disobedience Movement) nurse, a CDM administrative staff member, and a civilian lost their lives. Additionally, over 20 others, including hospital staff and patients, sustained injuries, and the entire Kyaukme Public Hospital was destroyed.

This deliberate attack on a hospital constitutes a grave violation of the Geneva Conventions, United Nations Security Council resolutions, and international humanitarian and human rights laws. It is deemed a calculated war crime deliberately targeting the healthcare sector.

Moreover, it is reported that within this month alone, the SAC has targeted civilians in Ta'ang areas, killing five and injuring over 30, despite there being no active conflict in the region.

Across Myanmar, SAC's arrests and killings have resulted in the deaths of more than 6,200 civilians and the detention of 28,350 people. Houses, religious buildings, hospitals, schools, and refugee camps have been burned and destroyed, according to PSLF/TNLA.

Citizens are advised to remain vigilant against SAC's aerial bombings and follow air-raid protection guidelines for their safety.

An SAC airstrike on Sin Gwat Village, located along the Myingyan-Seemeekhon road in Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region, has resulted in the deaths of over 20 individuals, including members of the People’s Defense Forces (PDF) and civilians, according to local sources.

At approximately 8:00 a.m. on January 26, an aircraft dropped bombs on the western part of Sin Gwat Village, targeting a school, homes, and civilians traveling along the road. This was followed by a helicopter gunship attack that lasted for about 30 minutes.

Some local reports suggest that the death toll could exceed 40, but these figures have not yet been independently verified.

The targeted location was reportedly an area with limited phone signal, where both local residents and PDF members had gathered for communication purposes. The timing of the attack coincided with this gathering, contributing to the high number of casualties.
