1. The Ministry of Health of the National Unity Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar issued a statement No. 3/2025 on January 26, strongly urging those supporting the demoralized terrorist military junta to stop their actions. The statement follows the airstrikes by the terrorist military junta on Kyaukme People’s Hospital on January 25, which occurred without any fighting, and the bombing of Phalan Taung Hospital in Hata Lat village tract, Hpa-an Township on January 22. The attack on Kyaukme People Hospital resulted in the deaths of a CDM nurse, a CDM office worker, and a civilian, with over 20 civilians- including hospital staff, CDM health workers, and patients, were injured. The entire Kyaukme Public Hospital was damaged. The airstrike on Phalan Taung Hospital in Hata Lat village tract, Hpa-an Township, damaged the facility, but the health workers and patients escaped in time. Over the past four years, the military junta has targeted hospitals and health facilities, violating the Geneva Convention, UN Security Council resolutions, and international humanitarian laws. The Ministry of Health of the National Unity Government expresses deep sorrow and condolences to the families of the fallen CDM health workers and the public, standing firmly with those risking their lives to provide public health care, and strongly condemn the terrorist acts of the military junta.

At a press conference held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the National Unity Government on January 29, the Myanmar Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Htun stated that the military junta is ineffective and illegal. The Ambassador emphasized that the Myanmar people strongly oppose their unjust election and have consistently demanded that the international community not recognize them. Therefore, we must listen to the wants and requirements of the people and take action from every possible angle. He called on all international organizations and institutions to support the Myanmar people and work together to prevent this illegal election. The terrorist military junta is planning to hold the election in any way.

3. A student was killed and six others injured in a military junta airstrike on Aung San University in western part of Myaing Township, Magway Region, according to local news reports. We Love Myaing news reported that two fighter jets attacked the university early on January 30, injuring three civilians. In addition, three jet planes, two from the Magway Air Force and one from the Tada-U Air Force, attacked Aung San University at 5:30 p.m. on that day, killing a CDM student. Local news also reported that two students and two vendors were injured in separate attacks at dawn on January 29. At 5:30 pm on January 30, a student from Gangaw Township was killed, and another student and a teacher were injured. On January 31, the military junta deployed scouting drones over the university while about 100 military forces patrolled the eastern areas of Myaing Township and Pakokku Township.

According to the KNU and local news outlets, the terrorist military junta used two kamikaze drones to strike the 76th anniversary of Karen Revolution Day celebrations at the Karen National Union-KNU Central Headquarters Parade Ground on January 31. The Karen Information Center-KIC stated that a civilian was injured after being attacked with two Kamikaze Drones near the parade ground around 7:30 a.m. on January 31. According to reports, the attack caused damage to a building and a car, while injuring one person. The 76th anniversary of the Karen Revolution Day was held on January 31 in the recently recaptured Manelpalaw region, and was attended by prominent KNU military and civilian leaders. This marked the first Karen Revolution ceremony in Manelpalaw in 30 years. The 76th anniversary of the Karen Revolution Day was observed in various places depending on the security situations.
