๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 1. Junta Airstrikes on Kyaukme Kill 4 Civilians, Injure 14 Including Children, and Damage Schools and Homes

Despite its declared ceasefire, the terrorist military council conducted airstrikes on Kyaukme town, killing 4 civilians and injuring 14 others, including children. The attack also destroyed 49 civilian homes and 2 schools, according to a statement released by TNLA (Ta’ang National Liberation Army) on June 25.

The air raid was carried out on the afternoon of June 24 using jet fighters, targeting areas within Kyaukme, which lies in TNLA’s Brigade 2 territory in Ta’ang region.

Specifically, in Ward 3 of Kyaukme, the junta’s bombardment injured two children, two men, and a woman, while 16 homes and 1 school were severely damaged. An additional 4 houses sustained partial damage from shrapnel.

Simultaneously, in Ward 7, 3 women and 1 man were killed by the junta’s airstrikes. 5 men and 4 women were injured, and 7 homes along with a Buddhist nun school were destroyed. An additional 22 houses suffered minor damage due to the blasts.

The TNLA emphasized that no clashes were occurring in the areas targeted, making the aerial attacks deliberate and systematic assaults against civilians. TNLA declared this as a targeted offensive on non-combatant populations.

In response, the PSLF/TNLA Information and Public Relations Department urged the public to remain constantly vigilant and follow civil air defense measures to protect themselves from future air assaults.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 2. Airstrikes in Taungtha, Myittha, and Sintgu Kill 1 Civilian, Injure 3 Others

Junta airstrikes across Taungtha, Myittha, and Sintgu Townships in Mandalay Region resulted in one civilian death and three injuries, according to revolutionary forces active in the area.

On June 23 at 11:37 p.m., a junta jet fighter dropped bombs near Nyaungdo Village in Taungtha Township, damaging a civilian home and injuring a man and a child. The Taungtha People's Movement Committee stated that the injuries were not life-threatening.

Earlier that same day, at 4:20 p.m., another jet from Tada-U airbase bombed the northern farmlands near Thone Gyi Village in Sintgu Township, injuring a woman with non-life-threatening wounds, according to the People's Defense Team of Pyin Oo Lwin District.

Later that night, at 9:10 p.m., a jet fighter from Shan Dae Airbase dropped bombs near Ukkam Village in Myittha Township, resulting in the death of a local woman, as stated in the official report.

In light of these incidents, local revolutionary groups are urging residents to remain highly alert to military airstrikes and dig protective trenches and shelters as a precautionary defense measure.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 3. 4 Junta Soldiers Killed in Mine Ambush on Military Convoy Moving from Tada-U to Ngazun

A convoy of junta soldiers traveling by truck from Tada-U Township toward Ngazun Township was ambushed by landmines, resulting in the deaths of four soldiers, according to Special Task Force Ngazun.

On June 23 at 1:46 p.m., approximately 40 junta troops traveling from Gwaykone checkpoint near Tada-U toward Myotha Industrial Zone in Ngazun were ambushed by six planted mines laid by resistance forces.

The attack resulted in four junta soldiers killed and nineteen others wounded, with two reported to be in critical condition. The injured and deceased were taken by the junta to the Myotha Township Hospital.

Due to retaliatory fire from junta forces during the ambush, Special Task Force Ngazun issued a warning requesting the public to avoid traveling on the Tada-U – Myinchan – Ngazun – Si Mee Khon – Myotha – Wetlu road segment between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

This operation was jointly conducted by:

  • Myinchan District Battalion 6, Sub-battalions 2 and 3, and
  • TGYR Youth Guerrilla Counter Revolution Ngazun.

Additionally, on June 24, resistance group Myinchan Township Dragon Tiger People’s Defense Force (Nagani Pyaw Kyarr PDF) launched a mine attack on a junta vehicle traveling from Myotha Police Station toward Gwaykone outpost, resulting in the death of one officer and one soldier, and injuring two others.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 4. Junta Troops Torch and Destroy Khwet Ma Village in Minhla Township

The Myanmar military set fire to Khwet Ma Village, which has more than 200 households, in Minhla Township, Bago Region, during the morning hours of June 25, according to local sources.

The terrorist junta forces entered the village at around 7 a.m. without any clashes occurring and deliberately set the village ablaze, locals reported.

Due to military incursions into villages across Minhla Township, most of the residents of Khwet Ma had already fled on June 24. However, elderly villagers who remained behind may have perished, according to concerns expressed by community members.

News outlet MinhlaThadin also reported that on the evening of June 24, the junta forces had fired heavy artillery toward Ngala Sann Village, Khwet Ma Village, and San Boat Village.

Following the death of junta officers in a battle near the Takwinta Sone checkpoint on June 16, the military has escalated its operations in Minhla Township—raiding and torching villages.

As a result, over 10,000 local civilians from around 40 villages have been displaced and are currently living as war refugees.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 5. Junta Uses Over 80 Bombs Including 500-lb and 300-lb Bombs in Battle Near Shwe Thone Village, Naungcho Township

In a battle that took place near Shwe Thone Village in Naungcho Township, junta forces used over 80 bombs in a single day, including 500-lb and 300-lb bombs, according to a June 25 statement by the Democratic People’s Liberation Army (DPLA).

The clashes occurred on June 24 between junta troops and a joint revolutionary force comprising the DPLA and the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) near Shwe Thone Village.

The junta began firing small arms at 12:20 p.m., later launching heavy artillery attacks targeting areas near the villages where revolutionary forces were present. The battle reportedly ended around 2:10 p.m.

Prior to the battle, between 9:19 a.m. and 10:07 a.m., the junta dropped 22 bombs using Y-12 aircraft. At 9 a.m., two 300-lb bombs were dropped from a jet fighter, followed by a 500-lb bomb near 2 p.m.

Furthermore, from 1:54 p.m. to 2:19 p.m., Y-12 aircraft dropped another 33 bombs, and between 6:51 p.m. and 7:14 p.m., an additional 24 bombs were deployed—indicating an almost continuous assault throughout the day.

At present, junta forces are intensively targeting areas near Naungcho using a combination of air-dropped bombs, heavy artillery, and drones, leading to frequent clashes in the region.
