๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 1. KIA Joint Forces Seize Bhamo's AMR-366 Artillery Base

On February 2, at around 4:00 p.m., the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) seized control of the AMR-366 artillery base located in Bhamo Township, Kachin State, according to Major Naw Bu, the KIA spokesperson.

The seized AMR-366 base is a strategically significant stronghold near the SAC's 21st Military Operations Command (MOC-21), which has over 100 troops. Securing this base is a key step toward capturing MOC-21, the spokesperson emphasized.

Following the capture of AMR-366, SAC troops from MOC-21 retreated and regrouped, leading to intensified fighting around the headquarters, sources reported.

On the morning of February 3, locals reported hearing aircraft and heavy artillery shelling in Bhamo, with several houses set ablaze.

Fighting also broke out at SAC bases AMR-47 and AMR-236 Infantry Battalions stationed in Bhamo.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 2. Clashes in Minhla Township Leave 2 SAC Troops Dead, 5 Injured

In Minhla Township, Thayarwaddy District, near the Kyun Kone Village Creek Bridge in the San Bout Village Tract, clashes erupted between SAC forces and the Thayarwaddy People's Defense Force (PDF). According to an official statement from Sub-unit 3 of Battalion 3802 under Thayarwaddy District, two SAC troops were killed and five wounded.

The encounter occurred around 12:00 p.m. on February 1, involving approximately 30 SAC troops.

Reports indicate that the SAC forces retreated after sustaining casualties. On the PDF side, two comrades sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The PDF urged civilians to avoid moving near SAC positions due to the possibility of further clashes.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 3. Ambush on Pyu Security Forces Leaves 4 Dead, 5 Firearms Seized; SAC Drone Strike Kills 3 Civilians

At approximately 8:00 a.m. on February 3, Katha District Battalion 4 reported that local joint forces from the Pa Ka Pha ambushed a group of eight Pyu security forces riding four motorcycles on a patrol mission along the Chindwin River-Kar Bo Road near Nyaung Pin Seik Village in Kanbalu Township, Sagaing Region.

Four Pyu security personnel were killed in the ambush, and the joint forces seized three G3 rifles and two carbine rifles without incurring any casualties.

Additionally, between 10:00 a.m. and noon, SAC forces launched drone bombings in several villages in Kanbalu Township, including Ngayar Nae, Phalan Chaing, Tharyet Kaung, Yinga Kone, Let Hout Kone, and Pe Kyi.

The drone strikes killed three innocent civilians and injured five others. Two cows also died.

Furthermore, about 20 Pyu forces from Kyi Kone outpost raided and torched Sapai Hmaw Village, burning down 37 civilian homes.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 4. Violent SAC Activities in Khalelwihtu District Injure Civilian, Destroy Homes

The Karen National Union (KNU) released a statement detailing violent actions by the SAC in Khalelwihtu District, including Saothi and Lel Doh Townships in the Kaw Thoo Lei-controlled region.

On February 2, at around 12:15 p.m., the SAC's Kha Ma Ya-599 Battalion fired two 81mm artillery shells into Let Pan Tan Village, Mu Township. One of the shells exploded, injuring Daw Win Thet, a 64-year-old civilian.

Additionally, on February 1, at around 6:55 p.m., SAC forces launched drone attacks and dropped 120mm bombs in Saothi Township, causing explosions in Cho An Village, which resulted in the destruction of two civilian homes.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 5. Revolutionary Joint Forces Issue a 10-Day Evacuation Notice for Civilians in Bawlakhe Township

The Revolutionary Joint Forces issued a public notice on February 2, urging civilians in Bawlakhe Township to evacuate within ten days due to potential clashes with the military regime forces.

According to the announcement, the military junta has been persistently reinforcing its troops and replenishing supplies, including rations and medicines, within Bawlakhe Township. Given this situation, armed encounters could occur at any time.

The statement advises civilians to:

  • Avoid any contact or cooperation with the military junta or its associated mechanisms.
  • Refrain from frequenting areas near military camps or engaging in activities around them.
  • Take immediate precautions and evacuate within ten days from the date of the announcement (February 2).

It further warns that if civilians fail to evacuate within the designated 10-day period, the Revolutionary Joint Forces will not be responsible for any consequences that may arise thereafter.

The announcement also reiterates a cautionary note to non-CDM (Civil Disobedience Movement) government employees, former military personnel, and ward administrators, who are regarded as key enablers of the military junta's operations, urging them to refrain from collaborating or participating in any regime activities within Bawlakhe Township.

The Karenni People's Liberation Army (KPLA-B), Battalion 9420, recently held a face-to-face assembly with the families of its soldiers, according to an announcement by KPLA-B 9420.

The meeting, conducted on February 2 under the leadership of Strategic Commander of Division 7826 and senior officials from Battalion 9420, included the Battalion Commander and Deputy Commander.

Key topics discussed included monthly support initiatives for soldiers' families and children, as well as plans to address the health, education, and economic needs of these families. Participants reportedly deliberated and shared insights in a cordial and inclusive atmosphere.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 7. New Defector from Battalion 252 Rewards with MMK 1 Million and Phone for Surrendering Arms

On January 30, 2025, during the night, Maung Win San Htwe (ID No. Pa Za - 127806), a forcibly conscripted soldier from Battalion 252 under Pakokku Township's Battalion Headquarters (101) in Magway Region, successfully defected. On February 1, 2025, he sought refuge with Burma Revolution Rangers, as per their official announcement.

He defected with one MA-1 rifle, one MA-2 rifle, three magazines, and 120 rounds of 5.56mm ammunition. The Revolutionary Rangers warmly welcomed him and awarded a reward of MMK 1 million and a Redmi Note 13 Pro smartphone.

The announcement called on SAC officers, non-commissioned officers, soldiers, and Pyu Saw Htee members to abandon their ties with the junta and join the Burma Revolution Rangers or other revolutionary forces.
