๐Ÿ“Œ๐Ÿ“Œ 1. Myanmar's Permanent Representative Attends Asia Society Discussion on Myanmar’s Challenges and Opportunities

March 12

On March 6, Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun, attended a discussion organized by the Asia Society under the theme "Myanmar/Burma 2025: Challenges and Opportunities." The discussion was also attended by representatives from the National Unity Government (NUG), Special Advisor to the Interim Central Bank Professor Sean Turnell, and the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Asia Society, Debra Eisenman.

During the discussion, Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun stated, "We need significant assistance from the international community. Our people are standing strong and resisting the terrorist military regime. Due to their resilience and resistance, we are winning, and the terrorist military regime is losing—this is something I can say with absolute certainty. Our revolution started from zero, yet today, our armed resistance forces and ethnic revolutionary armed groups have successfully taken control of over 50% of the country’s territory."

Additionally, former Chief of Mission of the U.S. Embassy in Myanmar, Priscilla Clapp, participated in the discussion online.

Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun further emphasized, "Our revolution is a people-centered movement, driven by the will of the people. Youth participation, along with the support of social media and technology, has significantly advanced our movement. It is because of these factors that I have the opportunity to speak in discussions like this today. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the people inside Myanmar, those abroad, particularly the youth, and Myanmar’s allies worldwide."

๐Ÿ“Œ๐Ÿ“Œ 3. Urgent Call for Water Aid for Karenni Refugee Camps

March 12

The Karenni Refugee Relief Network has issued an urgent appeal for support to provide clean water to displaced people in Karenni refugee camps.

"As the hot season approaches, let’s come together to provide even a single drop of clean water for displaced civilians in need. Some may wonder why refugees don’t move to areas with sufficient water supply. The reality is that many of these water-rich areas are now occupied by military bases or conflict zones controlled by the SAC. This has forced displaced people to endure severe water shortages in locations where they are struggling to survive," the group stated.

Many refugee camps are in desperate need of clean drinking water. The network is calling on donors and humanitarian groups to contribute to water relief efforts.

๐Ÿ“Œ๐Ÿ“Œ 4. Campaign to Mobilize Public Support for "Towards Ayeyar West Capital"

March 12

A campaign titled "Towards Ayeyar West Capital" has been launched with a fundraising target of 1.5 billion MMK from March 3 to March 31, calling for public participation.

"Though we are at an age where we should be learning and experiencing youth freely, we chose to study military tactics far from our university. Once this war ends, we will run back to our university. We will run back to our hometowns. Even if the path is as rough as a summer road, we will overcome all obstacles and return to Pakokku, known as 'Ayeyar West Capital.' This campaign is designed to support that journey home."

This campaign is initiated by five resistance groups based in Pakokku, namely:

Thu Rain TR

Earthquake People's Defence Force

Justice Revolution Force

Hunter Pakokku

Six Senses Guerrilla Force

Since late 2024, these five groups have significantly escalated military operations and achieved notable successes in battles. The campaign aims to sustain effective base-capturing operations within Pakokku District.

Contributors can donate any amount they can afford. Each donation will receive a serial-numbered certificate of recognition. Upon the campaign’s completion, a lucky draw will be conducted using the serial numbers, and commemorative gifts will be awarded to selected donors.

๐Ÿ“Œ๐Ÿ“Œ 5. Informing Yangon Industrial Zone Workers About ILO Article 33 Actions Against the Military Junta

March 12

Workers in Yangon’s industrial zones have been informed about the necessity of ILO Article 33 sanctions against the military junta.

Activists distributed awareness messages about the reasons for implementing Article 33 by placing them inside women’s sanitary products and discreetly distributing them among industrial workers.

This movement was carried out collaboratively by:

Four Yangon-based resistance groups

Grassroots protest networks

Since the military coup, the terrorist junta has forced labor upon workers, denied their right to unionize, and violated ILO standards that protect workers’ freedoms.

The public has witnessed these violations firsthand. Therefore, urgent action is required, and people's voices, opinions, and support are necessary to push for immediate accountability measures against the junta.
