Mandalay PDF reaffirmed its commitment to continuing the revolution by closely collaborating with MNDAA to overthrow the military dictatorship and build a Federal Democratic Union. Additionally, the group pledged to implement social and economic support projects for the people residing in the liberated areas.
Furthermore, Mandalay PDF extended its best wishes for the success of the aspirations of the MNDAA’s Special Region-1 Administrative Committee, the Kokang people, and all ethnic groups across the Union.
As part of the second wave of Operation 1027, Mandalay PDF took part in urban battles in Shan and Mandalay regions, including the capture of cities such as Singu, Naungcho, Mogok, and Moemeik alongside allied forces. The group also reported that they have successfully seized and now control approximately 40 military bases in the eastern part of Madaya Township.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 3. KIA Reports Junta and People's Militias Conducting Forced Conscription in Myitkyina and Tanai
March 12
The Kachin Independence Army (KIA) has reported that both the junta’s military and junta-aligned people’s militia groups have been conducting forced conscription in Myitkyina and Tanai townships using various methods.
The KIA Information Department stated that the junta still holds control over Myitkyina and Tanai and has been continuously recruiting soldiers and reinforcing its military presence.
Since early March, junta forces have been conducting door-to-door household inspections, population census checks, and arbitrary arrests in several neighborhoods in Myitkyina. Civilians traveling on passenger vehicles have also been detained and forcibly conscripted, according to KIA’s March 11 evening statement.
On March 8, junta forces reportedly stopped a passenger vehicle from Panwa at the Balaminhtin Bridge and forcibly recruited nine civilians. Similarly, at the 21-Mile Checkpoint in Myitkyina, five civilians were taken into military service, according to local reports.
Additionally, in Tanai Township, junta-aligned people’s militias have been targeting young men and forcibly recruiting them, particularly those moving around at night. They have also been raiding homes suspected of housing young people and conducting searches under the pretense of drug-related investigations, leading to further arbitrary arrests.
Meanwhile, KIA and its allied forces have been conducting military operations to seize junta-controlled bases and towns within Kachin State. At present, they are engaged in an offensive to capture Bhamo, a strategically significant city in Kachin State. KIA forces themselves are also actively recruiting new soldiers.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 4. Junta Troops Suffer Casualties in Nyaung Kyoke Battle
March 12
The junta has suffered casualties in the battle at Nyaung Kyoke, located in Pantanaw Township, Bago Region, according to local sources. As a result, the junta’s regional military command center in Pyay, along with the Military Operations Command (MOC) and the City Hall, has reportedly set up a temporary field hospital.
Due to attacks by the Arakan Army (AA), junta forces stationed at the Nyaung Kyoke base have been retreating toward Ushi Bin town, with battles now approaching its vicinity, according to local residents.
Fierce clashes have been ongoing at the Nyaung Kyoke base since January between the AA and junta forces. Despite junta airstrikes in defense, the prolonged two-month battle has led to junta troops gradually withdrawing and consolidating their defenses in Ushi Bin.
On March 11, AA forces reportedly advanced past Nyaung Kyoke base and were moving toward Ushi Bin, prompting junta reinforcements to be deployed to the area.
As AA advances, the junta has been deploying large numbers of freshly trained conscripts to both Nyaung Kyoke and Ushi Bin. However, due to heavy casualties among these newly recruited troops, as well as severe losses among the supporting units, junta forces have been seen retreating in a disorganized manner, according to military sources.
While AA has not officially commented on the latest battle developments, they have previously stated that their operations have expanded into Ayeyarwady, Bago, and Magway regions, targeting junta positions.
