Union Minister of the National Unity Government (NUG) for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Dr. Win Myat Aye, and NUG’s Representative to France, Daw Nan Su Mon Aung, held a meeting with Ms. Mathilde Teruya, Head of the Southeast Asia Department at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mr. FrΓ©dΓ©ric Inza, the official responsible for Myanmar and Thailand.

The discussions primarily focused on humanitarian aid requirements on the ground, efforts to ensure that assistance reaches the most vulnerable populations, and strategies to facilitate direct aid delivery from international organizations and allied nations to the people of Myanmar. Additionally, they exchanged insights on the roadmap for the Myanmar Spring Revolution’s practical progress moving forward.

The National Unity Government (NUG) Ministry of Education has announced that the 2025 Basic Education Completion Examination (New System, Grade 12) will be held in June 2025. Applications for the exam will be open from March 22 to April 30, 2025, through the website mes.moeedu.org.

Eligible applicants must be students who:

Will turn 18 years old by December 31, 2025

Have studied under the New System (Grade 12) curriculum

Have not taken any university entrance exams conducted by the military junta

Have no intention of sitting for junta-administered university entrance exams

This exam is specifically designed for students who stand in solidarity with the people. Students from liberated areas under local administrative control who meet the eligibility criteria set by relevant education bodies can apply through their respective education organizations.

πŸ“ŒπŸ“Œ 3. Temporary Water Shortage in Min Dat Due to Junta Airstrikes, Wildfires, and Vandalism

The Min Dat Township People’s Administration has reported a temporary water shortage in Min Dat due to the destruction of water pipelines along the Min Dat-Matupi road, caused by military airstrikes and natural wildfires.

Additionally, there have been instances of deliberate vandalism, with some individuals using blades or machetes to cut and damage water pipelines leading into the town.

In response, the local administrative body is working to repair the damaged pipelines as swiftly as possible to restore water supply. Furthermore, any acts of unauthorized destruction of public infrastructure will be dealt with in accordance with municipal regulations and legal procedures.

Residents are urged to report any instances of pipeline vandalism to the administration, warn those engaging in such acts, and help safeguard the infrastructure.

Support from both domestic and international donors is needed to repair and maintain the pipelines. Contributions toward the restoration of the water supply system are welcome.

πŸ“ŒπŸ“Œ 4. Free Sewing Training for Displaced Women in Demoso

A free sewing training program has been launched for displaced women in a location west of Demoso, Karenni State, according to Karenni People Voice.

The training aims to provide job opportunities for displaced women and will run for a duration of two months.

Currently, 13 trainees are enrolled in the program. However, fabric and sewing materials are still needed to support the training, said program leader Daw Mi Mi Khan.

There are approximately 50,000 displaced individuals in western Demoso, facing significant difficulties due to limited job opportunities and economic hardships.
