๐ฉ๐ฉ 1. SAC Forces Launch Large-Scale Offensive to Retake Mobye Town
March 27
Revolutionary forces based in the region report that the junta (SAC) is launching a large-scale offensive with overwhelming military strength to reclaim control of Mobye Town, located on the Shan-Karenni border.
To retake Mobye, the junta has been reinforcing its 422nd Light Infantry Battalion with additional troops in recent days. It is also coordinating with the PNO People’s Militia and preparing to launch an attack, according to military sources. In response, the allied revolutionary forces are also making strategic preparations to maintain control of the town. South Shan Tactical Operation Command -1 PDF released a statement today, March 27, confirming these developments.
Despite the junta’s aggressive troop mobilization, some SAC soldiers on the ground have reportedly been attempting to establish communication with revolutionary forces in hopes of defecting.
South Shan Tactical Operation Command -1 PDF anticipates that the junta may intensify its offensive with excessive manpower, drone strikes, heavy artillery bombardments, and airstrikes. Additionally, the use of chemical and incendiary bombs to secure control over Mobye is a possibility.
Furthermore, the Karenni Nationalities Defense Force (KNDF) Battalion 3 has also confirmed that the junta is conducting a large-scale offensive along the Mobye-Konthar-Loikaw highway in an effort to regain control of the route.
Reports indicate that the SAC is deploying four attack columns in a rotational manner to seize control of the Mobye-Konthar-Loikaw highway, resulting in daily clashes in the area.
KNDF Battalion 3 has issued a public appeal for support, stating that a reconnaissance drone is urgently needed to monitor SAC’s offensive and defensive maneuvers.
Due to the SAC’s relentless attacks with heavy artillery, drones, and incendiary bombs, many civilian houses have been set ablaze. According to records from South Shan Strategic Command-1, at least 30 houses in Mobye’s residential areas have been destroyed by fire just within March alone.

Starting today, March 27, all liquor and beer shops in Saw Township must temporarily shut down without a specified reopening date, following a directive issued by the Gantgaw District PDF.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 6. Military Junta’s Logistics Network Collapsing, Unable to Fully Support Over 500 Bases
March 27
The Myanmar military junta’s logistics network is deteriorating, making it incapable of fully supporting more than 500 bases, according to Zach Abuza, a professor at the National War College, who spoke at the seminar "Enhancing Sustainable Peace and Security – Thailand and ASEAN’s Border Stability and the Path to Democracy."
"The junta’s logistics network is collapsing. The military controls the country as an occupying force and maintains over 500 bases. However, under the current conditions, they are unable to resupply or reinforce the majority of them. Supply routes have been disrupted, and they lack sufficient transport helicopters to maintain control of these bases via air support," he explained.
The military continues to operate 24 defense factories along the Ayeyarwady River, which play a critical role in sustaining its operations. However, Professor Zach Abuza noted that the resistance forces, including the People’s Defense Forces (PDF) and ethnic armed groups, do not need to directly seize these factories—simply cutting off their supply lines would be enough to render them inoperable.
This military report was provided by Radio NUG correspondents Ko Khant and Min Thihan.
