The junta bombed and subsequently set fire to Ywar Thit Kone Village, which was already devastated by the earthquake, in Pauk Township, Magway Region.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 3. Thai MP Questions Junta’s Continued Airstrikes Amid Earthquake Disaster

Thai MP Kanwee Sibsan from the Fair Party raised concerns over Myanmar’s military junta continuing airstrikes across various regions despite the earthquake crisis.

He wrote on social media, "While people in parts of Myanmar, Thailand, and China are grappling with the aftermath of a massive earthquake, how is the Myanmar military still managing to carry out airstrikes across multiple regions?"

Reports indicate that since the March 28 earthquake, the junta has intensified airstrikes in Magway, Kachin, Shan, Kayah, Karen, and Bago Regions. The attacks have persisted daily, leading many to speculate that the military will continue its offensive.

"In such a severe humanitarian crisis, immediate measures must be taken to halt ongoing conflicts and military operations in Myanmar," MP Kanwee stated. He also emphasized that while Thailand has already dispatched emergency response teams to assist earthquake victims, this opportunity should be used to press the Myanmar junta to cease military offensives immediately.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 8. Over 100 Deaths Reported at SAC Military Bases in Naypyidaw Due to Earthquake

More than 100 junta personnel have reportedly died within military bases in Naypyidaw due to the earthquake, according to CDM (Civil Disobedience Movement) Colonel Zin Yaw.

He stated, "The total death toll within the military bases in Naypyidaw has surpassed 100. At Deputy Commander Soe Win’s reserve force, Infantry Battalion 303, six soldiers have been confirmed dead, while 27 others are critically injured. Meanwhile, at Infantry Battalion 305, which serves as Min Aung Hlaing’s personal security unit, all administrative offices and residential buildings have collapsed, forcing officers to conduct operations under trees."

Additionally, approximately 50% of the junta's General Headquarters has been left in a dire state, with personnel sleeping and eating on the ground due to the destruction.

Reports suggest that the widespread structural collapse in Naypyidaw’s military compounds was primarily caused by the use of substandard cement in construction.
