๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 1. Eight Airstrikes Conducted by the Junta Forces in Mying Township, Pakokku District, This Morning

This morning, the terrorist junta forces carried out eight aerial bombardments in Mying Township, Pakokku District.

Between 1:00 AM and 2:00 AM on March 3, the junta launched airstrikes in various locations within Mying Township:

Near Seit Chay Village – One airstrike using a Y-12 aircraft.

Near Jyut Kone Village – One airstrike using a Y-12 aircraft.

Baung Bin Village – Two airstrikes using a Y-12 aircraft.

Nyaung Kone Village Monastery – One airstrike using a Y-12 aircraft.

Near Su Win Village – One airstrike using a jet fighter.

Open farmland near Taw Village – One airstrike using a Y-12 aircraft.

Near Let Pan To Village – One airstrike using a jet fighter.

Near Thar Yet Kan Village – One airstrike using a jet fighter.

The Nway Oo Revolutionary Forces in Mying Township have confirmed these airstrikes.

There have been reports of civilian casualties and injuries, but the details are still under investigation.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 2. Civilian Homes, a Monastery, and Other Structures Damaged by Junta Airstrikes in KNU-Controlled Territory

According to the Karen National Union (KNU) Central Information Department, the military junta conducted an airstrike on March 1 at around 6:00 AM in KNU-controlled Dooplaya District, Hpa-An Township, Mae Tha Nay Village Tract, targeting areas near Mae Tha Nay and Thi Kyaw Khee Villages.

As a result of the bombardment:

The roof of a civilian home belonging to 55-year-old Maung Myay Pei in Thi Kyaw Khee Village was destroyed.

Two glass windows of the Mae Tha Nay Monastery were shattered.

Additionally, the airstrikes damaged rubber plantations, school compounds, and residential areas in Mae Tha Nay Village. The attack has forced students to stop attending school, while local residents are unable to continue their livelihoods, causing severe hardship.

The junta forces reportedly used 120mm mortar shells and improvised cluster bombs in the attack.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 3. Over 6,000 Killed and More Than 28,000 Arrested Since the Military Coup

Since the military coup, from the time of the junta’s illegal power grab until February 28, 2025, over 6,000 people have been killed, and more than 28,000 people have been arrested.

According to data compiled by the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP), as of February 28, 6,364 individuals have lost their lives, while 28,712 people have been detained.

The majority of those killed were victims of the junta and its affiliated forces. The highest number of arrests have been recorded in Yangon, Mandalay, Sagaing, Bago, Magway, and Tanintharyi Regions.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 4. Air Defense Unit Soldier Defects with Weapon and Receives Reward

In Magway Region, Pakokku District, Seikphyu Township, a deputy sergeant from the junta's Air Defense Unit No. (2036) in Kanzunma defected with his weapon to Infantry Battalion No. (1) in Minbu District, under the junta's No. (1) Military Region.

He brought along one MA-1 rifle, 275 rounds of 5.56mm ammunition, 144 rounds of 9mm ammunition, two magazines, and a motorcycle.

It has been reported that the defecting junta deputy sergeant was granted a suitable reward based on the weapons and ammunition he surrendered upon seeking refuge with the people.

The public urges junta soldiers, police officers, members of the People's Militia, Pyusawhti militia, and those forcibly conscripted under the junta's mandatory military service law to abandon the junta’s oppressive actions and defect to the side of the people as soon as possible.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 5. Junta Landmines Kill and Injure Children in Ta'ang Region

Landmines planted by the junta have resulted in the deaths and severe injuries of children in the Ta'ang region.

On February 2, in Namsang Village, Kutkai Township, four children were fishing in a stream when they accidentally stepped on an improvised landmine. Two were killed, while the other two were injured, according to a report from the TNLA.

Similarly, on February 6, in Hsipaw Township, a local man discovered an unexploded landmine near the Myashwegone Monastery, a former junta military camp. The mine exploded when he attempted to collect it, killing one person and injuring another.

In Monghsu Township, two children found and played with a hand grenade, which detonated. One child was killed, and the other sustained injuries.

Furthermore, on February 11, in Kunzone Village, Hsipaw Township, two children were severely injured after stepping on a landmine previously planted by the junta.

Myanmar recorded the highest number of casualties worldwide in 2023 due to landmines and explosive remnants of war, with 1,003 reported incidents.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 6. Three Young People's Defense Force Fighters Defect to ULF with Weapons

Three young members of the People’s Defense Force (PDF) defected to the Upper Land Forces (ULF) in Yinmarbin District, bringing their weapons with them.

The ULF logistics officer, Ma Aye Su Naing, confirmed that they were warmly welcomed.

"The three young defectors each carried an MA-1 rifle. More young fighters are expected to join ULF soon, but we cannot disclose their names or locations at this time," she stated.

Amid the junta’s ongoing forced conscription under its unjust military service law, many young people continue to flee to join the resistance forces.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 7. Junta Porter Defects to Myaing Pa Ka Pha with Weapon

March 3

Myint Min Aung, a porter forcibly conscripted by the junta, defected to Myaing's Pa Ka Pha (People’s Defense Forces) on March 1, 2025, bringing along an MA-1 rifle, 60 rounds of ammunition, and three magazines.

He was initially a civilian truck driver in Sagaing City but was forcibly taken by the junta’s Division 33 troops at Sagaing Bridge in December 2024. He was then transported to Pakokku-based Division 101, from where he eventually escaped and defected to the Myaing Pa Ka Pha's Battalion 1, Unit 2, under the Gallon People’s Defense Force.

Myaing Pa Ka Pha welcomes all defectors, including junta soldiers, Pyusawhti militia members, police officers, and members of the Border Guard Force (BGF), and encourages those willing to defect to contact the nearest Pa Ka Pha unit.
