The Chinland Defense Force – Kalay Kabaw Gangaw (CDF-KKG) has announced that it successfully captured several junta military bases and Pyu Saw Htee strongholds situated between Kalay and Gangaw townships within the past two months, and stated that it will continue its military offensives against the remaining junta and Pyu Saw Htee outposts in the area.

According to the statement, the major offensive operation, launched by CDF-KKG in February 2025, resulted in the seizure of Kampaneni, Hmantaw, and Aung Tharya (East and West) military bases, as well as the Kyansar Village, which was under the control of Pyu Saw Htee militias.

The Kampaneni base, considered one of the most fortified outposts between Kalay and Gangaw, was captured on February 12, and subsequent offensives before February 15 led to the successful seizure of junta camps located in Hmantaw and Aung Tharya West.

Throughout the clashes, junta forces reportedly launched 19 counter-offensives and carried out over 1,000 airstrikes, targeting not only resistance forces but also civilian areas with no active conflict. These airstrikes and artillery attacks killed at least 15 civilians, injured over 40, and damaged more than 60 buildings, including hospitals, schools, religious structures, and residential homes. As a result, over 20,000 civilians from 12 villages have been forcibly displaced.

On the morning of April 11, allied resistance forces launched another assault on Kyansar Village, which was under Pyu Saw Htee control, and successfully seized it before noon, according to reports.

The operations were carried out collaboratively by CDF-KKG, Chin National Army (CNA), CDF-Hakha, CDF-Thangtlang, CDF CDM – Siyin, ABSDF, PDF Vakok, RKDF, and regional joint forces such as CDF – Senthang, Naga Nyi Naung, Hantharwady Pa Ka Pha, MCR, and southern Kalay-based resistance groups.
