April 30
The National Unity Government (NUG) announced today that it is actively implementing six strategic pillars in coordination with its allies, encompassing both political and military collaboration.
This announcement was made in conjunction with the release of the NUG’s four-year performance report, highlighting progress and implementation of the six defined strategic pillars.
These six strategic approaches include:
Political Coordination – Strengthening political and military cooperation with allied organizations and ensuring sustained support and participation from the public.
Diplomatic Engagement – Promoting international awareness and support for the Myanmar people's resistance movement through diplomatic efforts.
Military Strategy – Building an effective armed force under a unified Chain of Command and a defined Code of Conduct (CoC), ensuring readiness for strategically coordinated operations.
Governance – Administering public governance systems based on the rule of law, strengthening institutional legality and accountability, enhancing public services, and improving the rule of law and security.
Financial Strategy – Securing sustainable funding for the revolution and working to cut off financial resources flowing to the terrorist military junta.
Public Communication – Increasing public and international understanding of the revolutionary policies, strategic plans, and operational achievements of the democratic resistance movement.
The NUG stated that these six strategies are being advanced in a balanced and accelerated manner with the aim of transitioning from localized liberation efforts to nationwide freedom and the establishment of a new federal democratic union.

๐๐ 3. Junta’s Forced Military Conscription Continues Despite Earthquake and War Devastation, Says Minister for Human Rights
April 30
Even during a time when the people are enduring severe hardship due to natural disasters and the ongoing war, the terrorist military junta has not ceased its coercive conscription of young people into military service, according to U Aung Myo Min, Union Minister for Human Rights.
"The junta’s forced conscription efforts have continued unabated even at a time when civilians are suffering under the weight of both earthquakes and the devastation of war. We have received reports that many youths who would otherwise volunteer for humanitarian assistance are now reluctant to do so due to fear of being forcibly recruited into the military. The illegal enforcement of the military conscription law has instilled constant fear and anxiety in young people and their families. This includes being summoned for questioning, having names collected for recruitment, being arbitrarily arrested under various pretexts, and being trafficked into the military under deceptive or forceful circumstances. We have interviewed young people who have directly faced these human rights violations," the minister said.
On April 29, the Ministry of Human Rights released a report documenting these findings based on systematic research.
