๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 1. TRI Strategic Command Warns That Crimes Targeting Civilians Are Being Documented and Perpetrators Will Be Held Accountable for Inhumane Atrocities

Ko Nwe Ni, Commander of the Strategic Command of the People’s Defence Force (TRI), has issued a statement affirming that war crimes targeting civilian populations are being systematically documented, and that those responsible for such inhumane and brutal acts will be held accountable.

The statement was released on May 10 by the Strategic Command under the Ministry of Defence of the National Unity Government (NUG), in response to airstrikes carried out in territories controlled by revolutionary forces.

The TRI Strategic Command strongly condemned the airstrikes launched by the military junta in areas controlled by resistance forces, particularly targeting civilian populations.

It also reiterated that brutal assaults against civilians are being recorded as war crimes, and emphasized that perpetrators must be held responsible for their barbaric actions.

The Strategic Command of the People’s Defence Force (TRI) further pledged its unwavering commitment to continue fighting to protect the safety and lives of the civilian population.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 2. Intense Clashes Between SAC Troops and KNLA Continue Near the Border Between Hpa-An and Thailand’s Tak Province

Heavy fighting has continued without pause between junta forces and the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) along the border between Hpa-An Township and Tha Song Yang District in Thailand’s Tak Province, according to Thai news outlet The Reporters. The military junta has reportedly continued airstrikes using YAK-130 fighter jets.

As of the morning of May 10, KNLA forces were conducting an assault against a junta military outpost within Hpa-An District, while junta troops were reportedly responding with heavy weaponry and drones.

Both sides are said to be using drones in reciprocal attacks. Junta forces are conducting airstrikes and airlift operations using YAK-130 jets. The clashes are taking place near Pain Kyone town in Hpa-An Township, approximately 7 kilometers from Mae Tan Village in Thailand’s Tha Song Yang District.

Local residents in Mae Tan Village on the Thai side of the border have reported hearing the junta’s airstrikes daily and are living in fear. Meanwhile, Thai military units have reportedly been enforcing 24-hour security in the areas along the border where clashes are ongoing.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 3. Junta and PNO Forces Clash with Fel Khone Battalion 1006 in Nyaungshwe Township

According to a statement from Fel Khone Battalion 1006, clashes have broken out in Nyaungshwe Township after approximately 200 combined troops from the terrorist junta forces and the Pa-O National Organisation (PNO) launched a military incursion into San Zwe Village.

Since May 6, junta and PNO forces have been launching a coordinated offensive into San Zwe Village, using both artillery and airstrikes. As a result, joint resistance forces under the alliance have engaged in continuous fighting up to the present day.

During the four-day offensive, junta and PNO forces have set fire to civilian homes in San Zwe Village on an ongoing basis. On the morning of May 9 alone, at least 20 houses were burned and destroyed, beginning around 6:00 a.m.

During the course of the four-day battle, the allied revolutionary forces successfully shot down two attack drones used by the junta-PNO coalition. However, two members of Fel Khone Battalion 1006 were also reported to have been injured in the fighting.

Amid the ongoing military tensions, junta forces continue to shell civilian-inhabited villages with heavy artillery, causing casualties and destruction in the area.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 4. At least Six Civilians Killed in Junta Airstrikes on Thabeikkyin and Singu Townships

The military junta carried out aerial bombings on Thabeikkyin and Singu townships in Mandalay Region using jet fighters, resulting in numerous civilian casualties, according to the Wetlet Informational Network.

At around 1:10 p.m. on May 10, a junta jet fighter from Tada-U Air Base dropped bombs near the Kaung Kin May May Car Workshop area in Zayatkwin Village, Thabeikkyin Township.

The airstrike reportedly killed about five civilians and left many others injured.

Similarly, at approximately 1:15 p.m. on the same day, the same air force base launched another aerial assault using a jet fighter near Kyitaukpauk Village, Singu Township, killing one civilian and injuring many others.

It was reported that there were no active clashes in the targeted villages at the time, and the junta carried out the airstrikes without provocation.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 5. Three People, Including a Child, Killed in Junta Bombing with Paramotor in Chaung-U Township

The military junta launched an airstrike using a paramotor on a village in Chaung-U Township, Monywa District, Sagaing Region, killing a young child and two men, according to Chaung U Revolution News (CRN).

At 11:40 a.m. on May 10, a paramotor that took off from Namma Camp in Monywa dropped bombs, which exploded in front of a charity house where preparations were underway for a monastic novitiation ceremony.

The attack killed a 12-year-old child and two men aged around 30, and injured three others, including a five-year-old child.

Among the deceased were a father and son, who were to become the novice monk and the sponsor for the ceremony scheduled for the following day. Additionally, the female sponsor and the young girl designated to present offerings were among those injured in the bombing.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 6. Junta Airstrike on Mawchi Area Kills at Least Two Civilians

The military junta carried out an aerial bombing on the Mawchi area of Hpasawng Township in Karenni (Kayah) State, resulting in the deaths of at least two civilians and injuring three others, according to U Banya, Deputy Secretary-2 of the Interim Executive Council (IEC), who confirmed the incident to KPV News.

The airstrike reportedly took place at 12:30 p.m. on May 10, targeting three different locations in the Mawchi area.

Additionally, the Loikaw District (Mawchi) Joint Administrative Committee had earlier announced on April 28 that Starlink internet access in Mawchi had been suspended for one month until the end of May, citing security reasons.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 7. Three Homes Damaged and One Civilian Injured by Junta Artillery Fire in Muu Township

On May 8 at around 11:30 a.m., troops from the junta’s Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 439 fired two 81 mm mortar rounds, which landed and exploded in Saitankhin Village within the administrative zone of Muu Township, Nyaung Lay Pin District, damaging three civilian homes belonging to U Min Lwin, Ma Ei Ei Phyo, and Ma Thit, according to a report released by KNU-Central.

Later that day, at approximately 3:13 p.m., another mortar shell fired by LIB 307 exploded in the same village, injuring U Khin Win, a 70-year-old civilian.
