๐Ÿ“Œ๐Ÿ“Œ 1. Three Allied Forces Send Letters of Commendation to Mark the 4th Anniversary of the Founding of the KNDF

May 31

Today, May 31, three allied revolutionary forces have sent letters of commendation to mark the 4th anniversary of the founding of the Karenni Nationalities Defense Force (KNDF).

The KNDF, which was established on May 31, 2021, has steadily and resolutely advanced over the years, and as of today, May 31, it reaches its fourth year of existence.

The letters noted that although some local defense forces have not been able to sustain themselves and have gradually withdrawn from the revolutionary path over the past four years, other organizations have continued to fight back against the military dictatorship with steadfast determination and unwavering spirit.

The KNDF is an alliance formed by the Karenni people to protect the lives, homes, and properties of the local population, to strive for national equality, to attain the right to self-determination, and to eliminate the roots of military dictatorship. Over the past four years, the KNDF, together with the Karenni people, has weathered the immense hardships of the revolution with resilience and unity.

According to the letters of commendation, the KNDF has been able to engage in combat with strong organizational structure and the active involvement of a dynamic new generation of youth. It has launched successful attacks on enemy bases within the Karenni region and has rightfully regained ancestral lands previously lost to military control.

The three allied forces expressed deep respect and tribute to the sacrifices made by the Karenni people, revolutionary heroes, and fighters—sacrifices of life, blood, and sweat—over the course of four years of revolution.

Furthermore, the three allied revolutionary organizations—Kokang, Ta’ang, and Rakhine forces—also extended their best wishes for the swift and full realization of the military and political goals aspired to by the KNDF and the entire Karenni population.
