The directive comprises the following key sections:
- Objectives, historical background, vision, and core values,
- Military code of conduct,
- Standard battalion organizational structure,
- Fundamental duties and responsibilities,
- Role-specific responsibilities,
- Standard operating procedures and disciplinary regulations,
- Procedures for issuance, amendment, and additions.
According to the announcement, all battalions within the People’s Defense Force (PDF) are required to adhere to and implement operations in alignment with this official directive.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 2. PDF Battalions Continue to Fight Alongside the People for Federal Democracy

On May 5, 2025, marking the 4th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Defense Force (PDF), Voice of the PDF reported that PDF units continue their armed resistance in solidarity with the people, in pursuit of federal democracy.
Upholding their four-point revolutionary pledge, the PDF, in collaboration with other People’s Defense Forces (PaKaPha) and allied ethnic revolutionary armed organizations, has carried out fierce resistance operations against the oppressive military regime over the past four years, achieving numerous successes.
Today, the PDF has grown stronger, operating across three major military zones and expanding to over 400 battalions, earning the trust and support of the civilian population.
On this significant day, People’s Defense Forces paid tribute and solemn respect to the brave PDF fighters and fallen heroes who have sacrificed their lives and bodies for the cause of federal democracy and the people’s liberation.
It was affirmed that the PDF, backed by public support and allied forces, will continue to fight for the downfall of the military dictatorship and the establishment of a Federal Union.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 3. Forty-Five Fallen Heroes from Naypyitaw Military Region Sacrificed Their Lives in the Course of the Revolution

On May 5, to mark the 4th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Defense Force (PDF), the Naypyitaw Military Region Command sent a public statement to the people.
In this statement, it was revealed that during the four-year period of resistance following the 2021 military coup, 45 revolutionary heroes from the Naypyitaw Military Region had nobly sacrificed their lives, and 2 others had sustained serious bodily injuries in the course of their service.
The message emphasized that the People’s Defense Force, in collaboration with revolutionary allied organizations and resistance forces during the Spring Revolution, had effectively fought back against the military dictatorship.
It also honored and paid solemn tribute to those who gave their lives, blood, and sweat in the struggle, underscoring that their sacrifices were not in vain.
Furthermore, the Naypyitaw Military Region Command pledged to continue fighting in line with the will of the people—to bring about the complete eradication of military dictatorship and the establishment of a free, just, and federal democratic nation.
It also called upon the public to stand united and actively participate in the revolution to ensure its success.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 4. Arakan Army (AA) Continues Landmine Clearance Operations in Taungoke

The Arakan Army (AA) is continuing its landmine and unexploded ordnance clearance operations in Taungoke Township, aiming to remove the danger posed by mines and abandoned military munitions.
According to reports from APM, on April 5, AA forces successfully cleared 204 landmines planted by junta troops near Yan Khaw Village in Taungoke Township.
Additionally, on May 1, Arakan Army troops also cleared 22 landmines planted by junta forces near residential homes and roadside areas within Taungoke Township.
