🚩🚩 1. Three SAC Troops Killed in Mine Attack by Resistance Forces near Myothar Hospital in Nganzun Township
June 17
In Nganzun Township, Mandalay Region, approximately 25 troops of the military junta (SAC), who had arrived near Myothar Hospital to extort checkpoint fees, were ambushed with landmines by revolutionary forces, resulting in the death of three junta soldiers at the scene.
Reports indicate that the SAC had set up a gate near Myothar Hospital where they were extorting money daily from civilian travelers under threats and verbal abuse.
The mine ambush was carried out by the Mingyan Township-based Nagani Pyaung Kyarr People’s Defense Force, under Battalion 3, on June 16 at around 5:50 AM, targeting approximately 25 junta troops who had come to collect extortion money.
As a result, three SAC soldiers were killed instantly from severe injuries including loss of limbs. Four others were critically wounded and, due to their inability to receive treatment at Myothar Hospital, were transported to Mandalay General Hospital using light trucks.

🚩🚩 2. SAC Attacks with Heavy Artillery and Drones in Naungcho Township; 26 Bombs Dropped in Umtai and Yemaungtan Village Battle
June 17
According to an official announcement by the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) released on June 17, renewed clashes occurred between the TNLA and junta troops in Umtai and Yemaungtan villages of Naungcho Township, located in the Third Brigade area of the Ta’ang region.
The battle took place on June 16, during which the SAC launched an attack using nine rounds of heavy artillery and dropped 26 bombs via drones targeting the TNLA and surrounding villages.
In addition, although there was no active clash near Laphan Kone Village, the junta deliberately fired three artillery shells toward civilian areas, reportedly aiming directly at the population.
Similarly, during clashes on June 15 in Laphan Kone, Umtai, and Yemaungtan villages, the junta also carried out intense attacks involving nine artillery shells, 37 chemical gas bombs, and 35 other drone-dropped bombs.
Despite the TNLA and allied groups observing a unilateral ceasefire extension of one additional month to allow humanitarian assistance to civilians affected by the earthquake and conflict, the junta has exploited the situation by continuing relentless military offensives. Consequently, frequent clashes have continued to erupt in Naungcho Township, according to the TNLA.
