June 19

The Myingyan Black Tiger (MBT) force announced today, June 19, that it successfully eliminated Min Thaik, one of the Pyu Saw Htee militia leaders involved in violent military operations in Myingyan, Mandalay Region. The operation also resulted in the deaths of a Russian-trained military officer and a soldier.

According to MBT, the mission was a special operation carried out on June 17 at around 6:30 PM. Seven MBT special commandos were deployed and had to remain hidden between enemy outposts for seven consecutive days to complete the mission.

The ambush took place between Anain Village and Khaung Kwal Village, targeting Min Thaik and his associates. Among the casualties were Lieutenant Colonel Pyay Phyo Kyaw, a graduate of Russian military training programs, and a soldier named Paing Soe. Another officer, Warrant Officer “Mote Saite,” was severely injured and is currently receiving treatment at Myingyan Public Hospital.

It was also reported that Min Thaik’s partner, Sithar Yu Mone, has not yet returned his body to his family and intends to handle the burial herself.

🚩🚩 3. Clashes Ongoing Between Junta Forces and TNLA in Nyaung Cho Township’s Nyan Taw and Shwe Thone Villages

June 19

The Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) has reported that fighting continues between its troops and junta forces in Nyan Taw and Shwe Thone villages, located in Nyaung Cho Township, one of the three zones under the TNLA’s 3rd Military Region in northern Shan State.

On the morning of June 18, clashes broke out in Nyan Taw and Shwe Thone villages, during which junta troops launched attacks using 38 rounds of heavy artillery and dropped 10 bombs via drones.

The TNLA also stated that the junta intentionally shelled civilian areas in the absence of active combat, targeting the villages of Shwe Nyaung Pin and Yay Maung Tan with eight artillery shells and 23 drone-dropped bombs.

Earlier, on the morning of June 16, junta troops had reportedly fired artillery deliberately targeting civilians in San Ma Se village, injuring two men due to shrapnel wounds from the blasts.

According to the PSLF/TNLA's Department of Information and Public Relations, clashes in Nyaung Cho Township have persisted frequently because the junta has taken advantage of a unilateral one-month ceasefire extension declared by the Northern Brothers Alliance, which includes TNLA, to enable humanitarian support for earthquake-affected civilians. Instead of reciprocating the ceasefire, the junta has continued launching aggressive military operations.

As such, the TNLA has urged local civilians to remain vigilant and stay alert for potential airstrikes, and to follow protective measures against aerial attacks to minimize casualties from the junta’s ongoing indiscriminate bombing campaigns.

🚩🚩 4. One Policeman Killed, Two Injured in Landmine Attack on Police Motorcade on Yangon-Pyay Road in Minhla Township

June 19

The underground resistance force Oakpho reported today, June 19, that a landmine attack on a group of five motorcycles driven by police officers on the Yangon–Pyay highway in Minhla Township, Bago Region, resulted in one policeman killed and two others injured.

The attack occurred around 11 a.m. on June 18 near the entrance of Gindet Kone Village, under the Htaut Kant Village Tract in Minhla Township, as junta-aligned police units were traveling along the Yangon–Pyay highway on five motorcycles.

Following the attack, the casualties were reportedly evacuated by military vehicles, according to Oakpho Resistance Force, part of Battalion 3802, Column 4 of the Thayarwaddy District.

The ambush was a joint operation carried out by Oakpho and the Minhla Township People’s Defense Force (PDF), and the resistance fighters involved were able to withdraw safely after the mission, according to reports.

Revolutionary forces in the area have issued warnings to the public, urging them not to approach junta-controlled areas, as attacks against junta forces and their collaborators—who continue to oppress civilians and the resistance—are expected to intensify in the coming days.
