๐๐ 1. NUG Leaders, Led by Acting President Duwa Lashi La, Visit Controlled Territories and Meet with Local People and Resistance Fighters
The National Unity Government (NUG) announced that Acting President Duwa Lashi La and a team of government officials visited territories under NUG control, where they met with local civilians and revolutionary fighters.
According to the statement, the purpose of the visit was to closely engage with ground-level leadership and resistance forces in NUG-controlled areas, to assess the state of security, governance, and taxation systems, and to build trust, leadership capacity, and structured administration to further the success of the revolution.
The visit also aimed to better understand existing challenges in these areas and seek practical solutions, as well as to uplift the morale and revolutionary spirit of frontline resistance fighters. The presence of the Acting President and NUG leadership was meant to demonstrate to the public that the National Unity Government stands in unity with the people, thereby strengthening revolutionary resolve.
During the visit, the delegation met with a wide range of stakeholders, including township and district-level administrative leaders, township and district-level defense officials, commanders of People's Defense Force battalions, military regional commanders and their teams, community leaders, and members of the clergy.
Acting President Duwa Lashi La also held meetings with displaced civilians, attentively listening to their hardships, offering words of encouragement, and extending humanitarian assistance.
The delegation accompanying the Acting President included Minister of Defense U Yee Mon, Minister of Education and Health Dr. Zaw Wai Soe, Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation Dr. Tu Hkawng, Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Khin Maung Lwin, Minister of the President’s Office U Banyar Aung Moe (U Bran), Deputy Minister of Home Affairs and Immigration U Kwan Min, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Daw Naw Htee Khu, and other staff members.
Throughout the trip, the Commander of Military Region 1 also joined the delegation, and security for the government officials was managed by special units from the same military region, according to the statement.

๐๐ 2. NUG Launches Click-to-Donate Website for "Safe Schools, Safe Education" Campaign
The National Unity Government has launched a website as part of its “Safe Schools, Safe Education” campaign that enables public participation through both direct donations and a “click-to-donate” mechanism, simply by clicking to support the cause.
The Click-to-Donate website, accessible at https://donate.moeedu.org/, invites the public to participate in the Click4Edu initiative. Just by clicking, users contribute towards building safe and secure learning environments for children affected by conflict.
As part of a special feature during the campaign period, contributors who reach the "SAFE HAVEN BUILDER" rank through their clicks and donations will receive commemorative certificates in recognition of their support.
The public is invited to participate in the Click4Edu initiative and contribute to ensuring future generations of children have access to safe and secure education.

๐๐ 3. Over 1,000 Internally Displaced Persons Arrive in Naungmon Township, Theinni District; MNDAA Provides Humanitarian Aid
Ongoing instability near Hsipaw and Kyaukme townships has led to a continuous increase in the number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) arriving in Naungmon Township, Theinni District. According to The Kokang News Agency, as of July 29, the number of displaced persons under the care of the township administration reached 1,103.
The displaced include:
- 983 people from 372 households in Kyaryin village tract, and
- 120 people from 28 households in Shankhaik village tract.
On July 28 and 29, the Naungmon Township Administrative Committee distributed the following aid:
- 129 sacks of rice
- 416 mosquito nets
- 9 bags of salt
- 5 small bundles of supplies
- 3 containers of cooking oil
As the majority of the IDPs in Shankhaik village tract are Muslim, the relief distribution there was adjusted to exclude cooking oil. Instead, they received:
- 14 sacks of rice
- 56 mosquito nets
- 55 small bundles of salt

๐๐ 4. One in Three People in Myanmar Require Humanitarian Assistance, Says Outgoing British Ambassador
In his farewell address, British Ambassador to Myanmar Ken O’Flaherty stated that one in three people in Myanmar are currently in need of humanitarian assistance.
Ambassador O’Flaherty, who served nearly three years in Yangon, is preparing to leave Myanmar. He reflected:
"During my tenure, I have been deeply moved and inspired by the strength, compassion, and resilience of the Myanmar people amid enormous hardships. Beyond economic challenges, one in three people require humanitarian assistance. Armed conflict continues, and attacks on civilians are ongoing. It deeply saddens me to be leaving Myanmar during such a difficult time. Although I am departing, the UK Government’s commitment to the people of Myanmar remains firm and unwavering."
He added that the UK will continue to respond to pressing humanitarian needs and will work alongside the people of Myanmar in their collective aspiration for a democratic future.

๐๐ 5. "Road to Mandalay" Campaign Launched to Support Defense Needs of MOD-Affiliated Forces in Mandalay Military Region
The “Road to Mandalay” campaign has been launched to supply protective gear and other defense equipment to battalions and units under the Ministry of Defense (MOD) operating within the Mandalay military region.
According to the campaign organizers:
“These are not long-range battles—they are close-range, face-to-face encounters. These are not guerrilla ambushes—they are direct confrontations requiring bulletproof helmets and protective armor.”
Estimated costs are as follows:
- MMK 500,000 per bulletproof helmet
- MMK 1,000,000 per body armor set
- MMK 1,500,000 for a complete set (helmet + armor)
Individuals and groups alike are encouraged to contribute in any amount they can. The campaign's target is USD 150,000, and it will run from July 23 to August 31.
