๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 1. Resistance Forces Attack Junta Convoy Advancing from Myingyan to Man Lel Village – 10 Soldiers Killed

On August 18, after nearly 20 days of operations, a junta military convoy led by regime troops and Pyu Saw Htee militias advanced from Myingyan toward Man Lel Village. On August 20, they were attacked by the People’s Defense Force (PDF) of Nyaung Htoe Gyi Township in cooperation with battalions under Myingyan District Command, according to reports.

As a result of the ambush, 10 junta soldiers were confirmed killed and about 8 more seriously wounded.

Weapons and equipment seized included:

  • 1 MA-11 assault rifle
  • 1 drone shooter
  • 1 “five-tube” rocket launcher
  • 3 hand grenades
  • 1 Starlink device
  • Some cash
  • 2 ammunition boxes and assorted rounds.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 2. Junta Convoy Leaving Ye-U Attacked with Landmines

The Wolf Guerrilla LDF Ye-U Air Force announced that it carried out a landmine attack against a junta convoy that had departed from Ye-U town in Shwebo District, Sagaing Region.

On August 25 at around 6:40 a.m., a convoy of about 30 regime soldiers advanced south of Ye-U toward Ywar Thar Lay Village. Resistance fighters detonated two landmines, hitting the column.

One junta soldier was confirmed wounded, and investigations are ongoing to determine whether there were additional casualties.

Although the regime troops retaliated with small arms fire, Wolf Guerrilla LDF fighters reported that they successfully withdrew without any casualties.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 3. Junta Troops and Pyu Saw Htee Militias Torch Villages in Pakokku District’s Pauk Township

According to the Anyar Pyit Taing Htaung Guerrilla Force, junta soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee militias have been burning down villages in Pauk Township, Pakokku District, Magway Region.

On August 20 around 9 a.m., a joint force of regime troops and Pyu Saw Htee from Ya Gyi Pin Village torched 31 civilian houses in Ye Yone Village.

After returning to Pauk town, the convoy later reemerged on August 22 with an estimated strength of about 900 troops.

By August 25, the same force had reached the area between Pauk town and Ye Pyar Village, where they reportedly burned down Pe Khu Hnit Pin Village.

Additionally, on August 22 at about 1 p.m., two junta jet fighters conducted an airstrike on Se Wae Village in eastern Pauk Township, killing two civilians and injuring six others.

Just five days prior to the air raid, junta troops had already entered Se Wae and set fire to civilian homes.

Currently, the convoy is said to be moving toward Kanma, Myoing, and Pakokku townships. Locals have been warned to remain vigilant against both ground assaults and airstrikes, and to seek safety in advance.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 4. Woman Killed, Three Men Injured by Random Junta Gunfire in Hpakant

According to local sources, in Hpakant Township, Kachin State, a civilian woman was killed and three men were injured as a result of indiscriminate gunfire by junta forces.

On August 24, KIA and KPDF joint forces carried out a mine attack against a junta unit arriving near the Yam Cheik factory compound in Hpakant, causing junta casualties. In retaliation, on August 25 around 8 a.m., more than 100 regime soldiers entered Hpakant town and opened fire randomly with small arms.

During the gunfire, a female vendor was struck in the face by a bullet while turning her head after hearing the shots. She died instantly on the spot. Three men were also injured, though their conditions were reported not to be life-threatening.

It was further learned that even police officers from a nearby checkpoint fled when they came out to inspect the situation, as junta troops continued firing recklessly in the streets.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 5. Newly Conscripted Junta Soldier Defects with Ammunition in Pale Township

A newly conscripted junta soldier from a column of about 100 troops stationed at Min Taing Pin Village, Pale Township, Sagaing Region has defected, bringing weapons and ammunition with him, according to Yinmarbin District Battalion (37).

On August 24, the soldier, identified as Aung Thu Win, surrendered with 118 rounds of 5.56mm ammunition and two MA-1 magazines.

It was reported that Aung Thu Win had been forcibly conscripted by junta authorities in Yangon. He was sent to attend military training at Palan Town before being deployed to Pale Township.

At present, he is being safely sheltered and debriefed, and officials announced that other defectors will be warmly welcomed should they come forward.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 6. PSLF/TNLA Women’s Soldiers’ Committee Holds Draft Handbook Workshop

The Women’s Soldiers’ Committee of the Palaung State Liberation Front/Ta’ang National Liberation Army (PSLF/TNLA) organized a workshop on drafting its committee handbook in Nansan Township, within the territory controlled by PSLF/TNLA Brigade 9.

The workshop was held from August 12 to 14 and attended by 12 members of the Women’s Soldiers’ Committee along with 41 female representatives from different PSLF/TNLA departments.

During the sessions, participants reviewed and discussed the draft handbook, studied the situation of women soldiers currently serving, examined the challenges they face, and exchanged views on rights, entitlements, and opportunities available in the workplace.

The workshop also discussed:

  • Implementing gender equality and quota systems
  • Measures to reduce and prevent violence against women through legal mechanisms
  • Establishing an annual budget dedicated to supporting women soldiers
  • Drafting safety and protection plans for female soldiers
  • Reviewing and improving internal processes.
