๐ฉ๐ฉ 1. Mine attack on the Aung Myint Mo Ward Administration Office in Hlegu, involved in junta election preparations
August 31
The Yangon Army (YA) announced that it had carried out a mine attack on the administration office of Aung Myint Mo Ward, Hlegu Township, Yangon Region, which was working on matters related to the sham election organized by the terrorist military junta.
According to the statement, on August 30 at 6:50 p.m., YA fighters successfully struck the military-controlled administration office of Aung Myint Mo Ward with two powerful mines, hitting the target.
The group stated that the ward administrator and his associated thugs had been organizing illegal election activities and were also engaged in human trafficking, abducting young people and selling them into forced military conscription. This was the reason behind the attack.
The strike was carried out while the ward administrator and his group were moving in and out of the office. Since it was raining at the time, the extent of damage and casualties is still under investigation.
The Yangon Army further warned that it will continue to launch heavy attacks against junta-related targets and anyone collaborating in the junta’s illegal election.
