Myanmar Military News Updates – Oct 06, 2025 Morning


📌📌 1. Fifteen Regime Troops, Including a Major, Killed in Clash near Sinchayyar Pagoda between Yonezin Gyi and Pan Aing Villages, Taungtha Township

According to the Taungtha People’s Defense Force (TTA PDF), a fierce clash broke out near Sinchayyar Pagoda, located between Yonezin Gyi and Pan Aing villages in Taungtha Township, when revolutionary forces intercepted a military column of over 300 troops, including soldiers, police, and Pyu Saw Htee militia members, advancing from Maline–Pan Aing toward Yonezin Gyi Village at around 5 p.m. on September 9.

The TTA PDF announced on October 5 that during the battle, 15 junta troops, including one major, were killed, while many others were wounded and forced to retreat.

The following morning, the same military column launched a counteroffensive, during which two resistance fighters from the Karyin Revolutionary Force heroically sacrificed their lives.

Afterwards, the junta troops invaded Yonezin Gyi Village, committing brutal acts including burning and looting civilian homes, killing villagers, and sexual assaults against women, according to reports.

The joint operation against the junta column was carried out by the Taungtha People’s Defense Force (TTA PDF), Bravo Team (Meiktila), DSNDA (Danu Defense Force), and Myingyan District Battalion (3).

📌📌 2. Clash Erupts in Min Taung Township; Regime Troops Suffer Casualties, Arrest Youths, and Engage in Looting During Retreat

At around 8 a.m. on October 5, a military column of about 40 junta soldiers and police officers advanced from Min Taung Town via Nyaung Kyat Village toward Alel Chaung Police Station, when they were ambushed near Khon Taing Village by local resistance forces, according to the Union of Burma Defense Army (USBA).

The clash lasted about 15 minutes, and although junta casualties were observed, the exact number is still under investigation. After the battle, the military column retreated back toward Min Taung Town.

While retreating, the troops arrested several young civilians, and looted food supplies and valuable items by forcibly entering homes along the way, local sources reported.

📌📌 3. People’s Defense Forces Launch Surprise Raid on Junta Bunker Outpost at Zee Kone Lay (Pyu) Village in Shwebo Township

The People’s Defense Organization (Pa Ka Pha) of Sagaing Region announced that its forces launched a surprise attack on a military bunker outpost at the entrance of Zee Kone Lay (Pyu) Village in Shwebo Township, Shwebo District.

The assault occurred at around 1:30 a.m. on October 5, led by the Shwebo Township Pa Ka Pha Offensive Operations Team (PDO), in coordination with Pa Ka Pha Combat Teams 1, 2, 3, and 5, who conducted the raid using guerrilla tactics.

During the operation, the resistance forces successfully captured and destroyed one military bunker, seizing:

  • 2 carbines
  • 1 9mm pistol
  • 129 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition
  • 38 carbine bullets
  • 10 9mm bullets
  • 2 hand grenades
  • 6 magazines
  • 1 mobile phone

It was confirmed that two junta soldiers, including Pyu Saw Htee militia members, were killed, and two others wounded, while one revolutionary fighter was martyred in action.

During the clash, junta troops and Pyu Saw Htee militias stationed at Myoke Village Monastery supported their forces with heavy and small weapons fire. In response, resistance forces launched counter-fire using 60mm mortars and Kalaw grenades, before successfully withdrawing from the area.

📌📌 4. Four Police Officers Extorting Money from Civilians Shot Dead in Monywa Township

According to the Monywa Township People’s Security Force, at around morning hours of October 4, four police personnel—including three officers and one constable—who were extorting money and goods from civilians near Tharsi Road and the Ettaw Roundabout in Monywa Township, were attacked and killed in a gunfire exchange.

Resistance forces seized from the scene:

  • 2 BA.63 (G3) rifles
  • 1 9mm pistol

All four police members were reportedly killed instantly at the site.

The coordinated attack was jointly conducted by the Monywa Township People’s Security Force (Monywa Pa La Pha), Student Armed Force (SAF), Monywa District Battalion 2, Subdivision (1), Ywar Zaw Gyi Taw Lan Thant Team, and Budalin Mobile Team.

All participating revolutionary fighters successfully completed the mission and safely withdrew without casualties.

🚩🚩 5. Five civilians injured in a junta airstrike on Thae Chaung Gyi Village, Tharyar Chaung Township

On the evening of October 5, a military aircraft dropped a 500-pound bomb on Thae Chaung Gyi Village, located in Tharyar Chaung Township. According to reports, there were no ongoing clashes in the area at the time of the airstrike.

The bombing injured five civilians and caused damage to homes and other properties in the village.

Resistance groups have warned civilians in Tanintharyi Region to remain vigilant, as the junta’s targeted attacks on civilians have been increasing in frequency.

🚩🚩 6. Temporary closure of Mezalay–Sittaw Bridge in Pwint Phyu Township

The People’s Defence Organization (Pa Ka Pha) of Pwint Phyu Township, Magway Region, announced the temporary closure of the Mezalay–Sittaw Bridge (formerly the suspension bridge) on the Pathein–Monywa road.

The bridge closure took effect on October 5, and the organization stated that it will not take responsibility for any incidents or issues arising from unauthorized use during the closure.

The Pwint Phyu Township Pa Ka Pha further clarified that this announcement is final and binding until further notice.

🚩🚩 7. Rāmañña Mon Army holds graduation ceremony for CBQ Course Batch (2)

The Mon State Party for the Elimination of Dictatorship (NMSP-AD) / Rāmañña Mon Army (RMA) held the graduation ceremony for the CBQ Course Batch (2), which was organized and conducted under their leadership.

The ceremony was held on September 4 in a liberated area, attended by Chairman Nai Zayya, Commander-in-Chief Major General Sahlun Thaw, instructors, and responsible officials of the NMSP-AD/RMA.

During the ceremony, Chairman Nai Zayya, Commander-in-Chief Major General Sahlun Thaw, and instructor Thet Naing Lin each delivered motivational speeches, commending the graduates for their perseverance and dedication.

It was reported that graduates performed military demonstrations to showcase the skills and discipline they had developed throughout the course, which they completed by overcoming numerous challenges through determination, effort, and perseverance.

🚩🚩 8. Families of fallen comrades honored and supported by Anyar Region Joint Forces

The Anyar Region Joint Forces announced that they paid tribute and provided financial support to the families of comrades who fell in the line of duty.

Members and officials of the Joint Forces offered condolences, presented letters of sympathy, and returned the uniforms and personal belongings of the fallen comrades to their families.

A ceremonial salute and tribute were conducted in their honor, and each bereaved family received 14.5 million kyats as financial assistance.

Additionally, the parents of the fallen heroes were formally recognized as “Parents of Heroes” and their names have been recorded in the historical archive of the revolution by the Anyar Region Joint Forces.
