📌📌 1. Acting President Duwa Lashi La says that the military leader and his associates are spreading propaganda and lies through their propaganda media outlets in order to cover up their incompetence
At the 15/2023 Cabinet Meeting of the National Unity Government held on April 18, Acting President Duwa Lahi La remarked:
“Everyone will be aware that the military leader and his associates are spreading propaganda and lies via their propaganda media outlets to conceal their incompetence. We should act quickly to counter the lies of the terrorist military leader through trustworthy domestic and international media since people naturally perceive false statements as true after being repeatedly exposed to them.”
At present, military lobbies are spreading false propaganda through Telegram channels, covering up the regime’s daily airstrikes and killings of civilians.

📌📌 2. CRPH Chairman U Aung Kyi Nyunt warns that there will be strategic actions by the military council in order to reduce the revolutionary forces’ enthusiasm for the revolution and to create disunity among the revolutionary forces
U Aung Kyi Nyunt, Chairman of the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH), said the following in his speech at the second anniversary of the establishment of the Interim Chin National Consultative Council (ICNCC) on April 18:
“The position of the military council is clear. They will try to prolong the revolution to reduce our revolutionary enthusiasm first. Then they will make us frightened with their cruelty. Finally, there will be strategic actions by them in order to create disunity among us. So, we need a strategy to see and overcome the various tactics they will use to divide us.”
At present, the military council is carrying out airstrikes all over Chin State and Sagaing.

📌📌 3. NUG’s Union Minister for Human Rights awards the traditional folk verse performance group “Atar Soe Mae Tamar Moe,” which performed during the revolutionary Thingyan
On April 19, the organising team of Tamar Moe stated that the Union Minister for the Ministry of Human Rights of the National Unity Government has awarded prize money for their traditional folk verse performance.
It states, “We, the student unions that led the traditional folk verse performance ‘Atar Soe Mae Tamar Moe’ performing during the 1385 revolutionary Thingyan, would like to express our gratitude to Union Minister U Aung Myo Min of the Ministry of Human Rights of the National Unity Government for awarding 300,000 kyats to our group.”
During the revolutionary Thingyan Festival, there were anti-dictatorship traditional folk verse performances, the majority of which were carried out by young people.

📌📌 4. Bangladesh Rohingya refugee camp (camp-24) caught fire again
On April 19, U Aung Kyaw Moe, advisor to the Ministry of Human Rights of the National Unity Government, stated that another fire broke out in Bangladesh Rohingya camp (camp -24) at around 11:20 p.m.
“Injury, dead and destruction remained unknown till now,” he stated.
Due to the terrorist military group, international organisations have demanded that all those who sought protection in Bangladesh not be forced to return to Myanmar.

📌📌 5. Fighting is going on in Demoso, Karen State—the military council troops suffered huge losses, and revolutionary allied forces seized many weapons and ammunition
According to the Karenni Information Centre (KnIC)’s April 19 statement, fighting is still ongoing near Daw Ngay Khu village in Demoso, Karenni, and revolutionary allied forces have seized many weapons and ammunition.
“On April 16 and 17, two days of fierce fighting erupted on a ridge near the village of Daw Ngay Khu between the military council’s forces and the combined forces of the Karenni Army (KA), the battalions B-10, B-05, B-06, B-01, B-16, and B-15 of the Karenni Nationalities Defence Force (KNDF), the KNDF-ETD, and the Loikaw People’s Defence Force (Loikaw PDF). During the April 16 fighting, 4 rounds of RPGs, 6 rounds of 60-mm grenades, 24 rounds of M79 grenades, 221 rounds of 5.56-mm ammo, 520 rounds of 7.62-mm ammo, 8 magazines, 6 rounds of Energa rifle grenades, and 12 hand bombs were seized. Similarly, during the April 17 fighting, a 60-mm grenade launcher, 5 rounds of 60-mm grenades, an RPG launcher, 9 rounds of RPGs, an MG-42 machine gun, two MA-1 assault rifles, a MA-2 light machine gun, five MA-1 MK III assault rifles, a MA-4, two M79 grenade launchers, 20 rounds of M79 grenades, 1000 rounds of 5.56-mm ammo, 1000 rounds of 7.62-mm ammo, a M16 mine, 13 rounds of M14 mines, 31 box magazines, 1 mine detector, communication equipment, a laptop, five mobile phones, and accessories were seized,” said the statement.
During the two-day fighting, a comrade from the KA fell in the fighting, and 5 comrades from the KA and 11 comrades from the KNDF were injured.
The KnIC statement stated that on April 18, the revolutionary allied forces pursued and attacked the military council columns retreating from a mountain near Daw Ngay Khu village, which led to a close encounter with a military council column that contained the main battalion commander, but the specifics of the battle situation are still unknown.

📌📌 6. Since the junta forces marched into the western part of Khin-U Township, 3,000 local residents there have been forced to flee
According to local news sources, 3,000 local residents have been forced to flee as the terrorist military council forces marched into the western part of Khin-U Township.
“Since more than 100 terrorist military council troops stationed at Ye-U Traditional Hospital arrived at the Inn Pat turn market situated in the western part of Khin-U Township and 3 miles away from Ye-U Towns again at around 6:00 a.m. this morning, about 3,000 local residents from nearby villages such as Inn Pat village, In Taing Lay (both south and north) villages, Thayet Pin Su village, Myin Daung village, Ma Gyi Oke village, etc. have been forced to flee,” they said.
Since the military column also opened fire indiscriminately yesterday along the road connecting Ye-U and Khin-U when they travelled in four vehicles to Pyin Htaung (a village dominated by military-backed Pyu Saw Htee members) village in Khin-U Township to bring rice, the residents have been forced to flee for two days in a row and are in need of food and medicine.

📌📌 7. People are urged to contribute to the fundraising campaign, ‘Raung Ni Lar Pyi, Yaw Htar Ni,’ to raise 300 million kyats in revolutionary funds for Gangaw Region
The fundraising campaign, ‘Raung Ni Lar Pyi, Yaw Htar Ni,’ urged the people to continue to contribute to the campaign, and it has so far reached 69 percent of its target, with the most contributions from the people of Myanmar living in Korea, followed by Myanmar and Japan.
The campaign was organised by Global Yaw Funding (GYF) and will be run from March 1 to April 30 with the aim of raising 300 million kyats to support IDPs, education, and health services in Gangaw region, as well as three combat drones for 19 Gangaw District PDF battalions.
The campaign involves receiving donations, selling lottery tickets, and selling Yaw souvenirs.
