📌 Spring Revolution Local News – March 27, 2023 (Evening)


📌📌 1. Acting President Duwa Lashi says that Min Aung Hlaing and the military, who are brutally attacking the people, will be removed


In an interview in March, Acting President Duwa Lashi La said the following:

“In 2023, the revolution is already gaining momentum as we have planned. Our greatest achievement is that we were able to lay strong and solid foundations for the revolution. The most important part of these foundations is the involvement of the entire population, which resulted in the failure of Min Aung Hlaing’s attempted coup. Another achievement is that we were able to replace Tu Mee rifles with assault rifles for the PDF [battalions]. We must win the revolution. We will remove Min Aung Hlaing and the military, who are brutally attacking the people.”


At present, the terrorist military council troops are suffering huge losses in the Karenni and Karen States and are already exhausted.

📌📌 2. The CRPH pledges to continue to work together with all the revolutionary forces while fulfilling its role in achieving the victory of the people’s revolution


In its message sent on March 27, the 78th anniversary of Anti-Fascist-Resistance Day, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) stated that more than two years have passed since the terrorist fascist military led by murderous leader Min Aung Hlaing and a group of military dictators attempted to seize power, and within this period, military had increased its illegal arrests, tortures, killings, imprisonments, arbitrary occupation of houses, and the burning of villages and towns systematically and intentionally in order to stop the people’s resistance with inhumane violence.



The CRPH also stated that just as the strength of unity defeated the imperialist fascists in the past, the spring revolution’s fights across the country have already achieved many victories with the consistent efforts of the entire ethnic people, with the strong unity force, to make the terrorist fascist military disappear from the land of Myanmar.


The CRPH urged the democratic revolutionary forces to continue their efforts to improve their mutual understanding and collaboration in order to fulfill the hopes of the ethnic people who have been taking part in the revolution despite hardships up until this point.


The CRPH also pledged to continue to work together with all revolutionary forces while fulfilling its roles and responsibilities in achieving the victory of the people’s revolution.

📌📌 3. Union Minister U Aung Myo Min and Union Minister Daw Zin Mar Aung met with the people of Myanmar in Norway


U Aung Myo Min, Union Minister of Human Rights, and Daw Zin Mar Aung, Union Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended a revolutionary fundraising sale that was held on March 26 in Froland, Norway, and had a meeting with Myanmar nationals there.


At the meeting, Union Ministers clarified Myanmar’s current situations, international affairs, and activities of the ministries and then responded to the questions raised by the audience.


After that, Union Minister U Aung Myo Min and Union Minister Daw Zin Mar Aung visited State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s Memorial Park in Froland, Norway, and planted a federal and peace tree on behalf of the National Unity Government.

📌📌 4. NUG’s Justice Minister U Thein Oo says that strong connections are necessary for the revolution to succeed


At the March 27 meeting between the Interim Judiciary Department of the National Unity Government’s Ministry of Justice and local judges, U Thein Oo, Union Minister for Justice, said the following in his remarks:

  • As the revolution goes through its second year, judicial personnel must strengthen their connections in carrying out activities to achieve the revolution. It is important to achieve success in accordance with the target values. The main value of the judiciary is to be the rule of law and an independent judiciary. The judges need to focus on achieving success in line with those values, and there are connected activities to achieve success in accordance with that goal.


The Union Minister went on to say that it is important to connect with organisations such as PaKaHpa (local people’s defence groups), PaAHpa (local people’s administration groups), and PaLaHpa (local people’s security groups), and the stronger the connection, the more security and stability will be maintained.


Union Minister U Thein Oo, Permanent Secretary U Min Naung Khine, U Myo Aung—Associate Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice and Director General of the Prison Department—and U Yan Gyi Aung—Director General of the Interim Judiciary—attended the meeting.

📌📌 5. NUG’s Deputy Minister of Home Affairs says that the only way to achieve success revolution is by revolutionising with unity against the fascist system and the military dictatorship


At the seminar to mark Anti-Fascist-Resistance Day on March 27, hosted by the Psychosocial Support Taskforce (PSSTF), Khu Hte Bu, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs and Immigration, said:

“Whenever we face injustice, every citizen and revolutionary comrade [of every era] revolutionises. Every time we experience unjust oppression, we always revolutionise the fascist system everywhere. The same is true of the Spring movement: only by revolutionising with unity will we win against fascism, military dictatorship, and any other form of dictatorship. Also today, the CDM comrades as well as people from various sectors and various levels are revolutionising.”

At the seminar, U Than Lwin Oo also gave a lecture about the evils of the fascist system and the fascist military. He said, “As long as we cannot establish an equal human society, we can see that the fascist system is taking root. It is sad to see that the fascist system that has vanished in the world today is being conceived in our country’s military.”


CDMers’ inner voices, a revolutionary question-and-answer session, and an entertainment session were included in the event, and Deputy Minister of Home Affairs and Immigration Khu Hte Bu, Deputy Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management Dr. Ngai Tam Maung, CDM staff, and other invitees attended the event.

📌📌 6. The Canadian government calls on other countries to cease selling Myanmar military weapons and other military equipment


On March 27, the Canadian Embassy in Yangon issued the following statement:

“A military’s job is to protect the population.

We reiterate our call on the regime to cease its brutal violence, and we continue to urge all countries to support the people of Myanmar by immediately stopping the sale or transfer of arms, military equipment, dual-use equipment, and technical assistance to Myanmar.”


Canada is among the countries that are making efforts to return Myanmar to the path of democracy.

📌📌 7. Taze Women’s Strike Group led a public strike against the military dictatorship on Anti-Fascist-Resistance Day


According to reports, a public strike, which included women, against the military dictatorship was held on the morning of March 27, Anti-Fascist-Resistance Day.


The public strike was led by Taze Women’s Strike Group and collaborated by Taze Main Strike Group. They marched with banners demanding that fascist-method military dictators be opposed and revolutionised, that political parties respect the will of the people, and that any parties that do not stand up to the people and support the fascist election campaign will be considered enemies of the people, reports said.


Despite the military council soldiers’ frequent advances, public strikes remain active in Taze Township.
