5.  The Chinese authorities have arbitrarily prohibited the importation of all household goods into Myanmar, including electronic appliances and construction materials without any reason, according to the Border traders. Yunnan province government officials notified Chinese traders and freight forwarders at the border on October 22. The DaLuo Transport Terminal in Xi Shuang Ban Na Township, Yunnan Province, informed their customers that Chinese exports of various household goods, electric appliances and accessories such as batteries, solar battery, solar panels, engines, Light bulbs, lamps, food products, blankets, cement will be temporarily suspended due to changes in the export control policy, and political and policy reforms will be announced again. Although the Chinese embassy in Myanmar does not often issue statements about border trade, an officer of the military council stationed on the China-Myanmar border confirmed the news to the People Spring News Agency. The Chinese government, which has significantly encouraged the military junta and is putting various pressures on the revolutionary groups, started banning medicines imported from Shan State through the border in August of last year, and has now banned electrical and household appliances as well. Political and military analysts believe that since ethnic armed forces have been allowed to control most of the cities where the border gates are located, the Chinese side may be doing this to put stress on the ethnic armed organizations. The Vice leader of the Terrorist Military junta, Soe Win  had instructed the seizure of commodities that had crossed the border illegally, as well as the closure of the Chinese border gates due to the prohibition on imports. The resistance forces occupied the majority of the border trade zones, left the military junta in control of only Kanpiketi and KengTung gates.
