๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 1. Junta Troops Attacked by Sniper Fire in Let Pan Village and Shwegyin Township by Column Affiliated with LIB-598

Taung Nyo Column – P29906 reported that junta troops stationed in Let Pan Village, Waw Township, Bago Region, along with troops from Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 598 based in Shwegyin Township, were targeted by sniper fire.

At approximately 7:25 AM on April 7, junta soldiers in Let Pan Village came under sniper fire, leaving two personnel injured, according to the column.

Later that evening, around 8:00 PM, the same column reportedly engaged in a second clash with troops from LIB-598 near Shwegyin, who had retreated and were attempting to regroup.

Then on April 9, at around 11:00 AM, the column launched another sniper assault on junta troops traveling downstream, reportedly injuring one more soldier.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 2. One Junta Soldier Killed in Surprise Attack on Troop Scouting for Supplies from Myine Township’s Industrial Zone 2

On the morning of April 9 at around 7:15 AM, a junta unit conducting reconnaissance from Industrial Zone 2 in the southern part of Myine Township, along the Pathein–Monywa Road, came under sudden attack by resistance forces.

According to a statement from Myine People’s Defence Force (PDF), one junta soldier was killed, and the resistance seized one MA-3 assault rifle, a grenade, and various ammunition.

The ambush was carried out in coordination by the Myine PDF, Dha Min Gyi Tactical Unit, Myine Joint Forces, Wan Phu Lwe Guerrilla Force, Ko Mu Soe, Ko Steel, and Ko Kin.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 3. Three Police Personnel, Including Station Commander, Killed in Pa-Ka-Phay Ambush on Police Vehicle in Kawthaung

The Kawthaung Township People’s Defence Force (Pa-Ka-Phay) has reported that a police vehicle returning from Aye Chan Thar Village in Tanintharyi Region’s Kawthaung Township was ambushed, resulting in the deaths of three officers, including the station commander.

The attack occurred at approximately 4:18 PM on April 9, near Phaw Thote Cemetery, targeting a police vehicle from Maran Station. The vehicle had just collected monthly protection fees from individuals involved in the rubber trade, human trafficking, and narcotics distribution in Aye Chan Thar Village.

During the assault, two officers of captain rank and one regular officer were killed. Another senior sergeant was seriously injured but managed to flee and escape, according to local sources.

The Pa-Ka-Phay forces recovered significant equipment, including:

One 40mm launcher and sixteen 40mm rounds

Two AK rifles and five magazines with 94 rounds of ammunition

Three grenades

One 9mm pistol, one .380 pistol, one six-shot revolver

One iPhone and three other phones

25,000 Thai Baht in cash

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 4. Civilian in Salin Township Abducted by Junta Troops, Forced into PDF Clothing, and Executed

In Salin Township, Magway Region, a junta military column abducted a civilian, forced him to wear a PDF-style uniform, and subsequently executed him, according to the local Pa-Ah-Pha unit.

On April 6, junta troops launched an incursion into Taung Bo Village, part of the North Chaung Phyu administrative group, and abducted a civilian during the raid.

The troops reportedly fired indiscriminately with small arms, injuring three additional civilians.

By 8:00 AM on April 10, the abducted civilian was found executed in a ravine on the eastern edge of the village, dressed in PDF trousers—an apparent attempt by the junta to stage a misleading narrative about his affiliation.

The junta column is also reported to have looted valuables and cash from displaced villagers and executed the civilian as part of a deceptive propaganda effort portraying him as a member of the resistance.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 5. Two Civilians Injured and Four Homes Damaged in Junta Airstrike on Villages in Lu Thaw Township

On the evening of April 8 at 5:24 PM, the junta’s military forces carried out an airstrike, dropping two bombs on Blal Wah and Tee Thae Ka Ru villages, part of the La Mu Phlao village tract, in Lu Thaw Township, Mutraw District.

According to a statement from the Karen National Union – Central Office, the attack injured two civiliansSaw Pa Na Mu (age 39) and Saw Day Si, both from Blal Wah Village.

The bombing also destroyed three homes belonging to Saw Ka Nay Mu, Saw Pa Na Mu, and Saw Daw Ni, and one home in Tee Thae Ka Ru Village owned by Naw Kyar Hae.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 6. Six People, Including a Pastor and Children, Killed and Nine Injured in Junta Airstrike on Phwe Village, Min Tat Township

On April 9 at around 9 p.m., the military junta conducted an airstrike on Phwe Village in Min Tat Township using a jet fighter, dropping two 500-pound bombs in two rounds of attack, according to reports.

The aerial bombardment resulted in the deaths of six individuals: an eight-month-old baby, a seven-year-old child, a 68-year-old man, a 72-year-old woman, a 36-year-old Christian pastor, and a 38-year-old man with a disability. Nine others, including children and elderly persons, sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment.

The first bombing instantly killed five people and caused residential homes to catch fire. While villagers were attempting to extinguish the blaze, the second bomb was dropped, killing the Christian pastor.

More than ten buildings, including a Christian church, were reportedly destroyed in the attack.

At around midnight on April 9, the military junta launched an airstrike on Saizang Village in Tedim Township, resulting in the deaths of six members of a single family, including a child, according to local sources.

The airstrike occurred while the victims were asleep, and one other person sustained injuries.

The victims have been identified as:

Cing Sen Don

Kham Ho Van

Cing Sian Nuam

Suan Deih Sian

Kim Deih Piang

Fearing further airstrikes, local residents are reportedly fleeing into the nearby hills and forests to seek refuge.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 8. 14-Year-Old Girl Killed in Junta Bombing on In Pin Hla Village, Kale Township

A 14-year-old girl was killed and three others injured in a military junta airstrike on In Pin Hla Village, Kale Township, in Sagaing Region, according to sources.

On April 10 at approximately 1:40 p.m., the junta dropped two 500-pound bombs from the air, targeting the village school despite the absence of any active fighting.

The bombs exploded in the area within the school compound where internally displaced civilians had been sheltering, causing severe injuries to three civilians.

Additionally, the 14-year-old girl went missing during the explosion. Fragments of human flesh were later discovered at the blast site, leading local sources to believe she had perished in the bombing.

Kale Town was seized by revolutionary forces in November 2023. However, on February 12, 2024, the military junta regained control over the urban areas, while resistance forces continue to maintain control of the surrounding villages.

At around 11:41 a.m. on April 10, a jet fighter from the junta’s air force launched two bombing raids near Ye Chaung Bo Village in Myaung Township, according to reports.

One woman was killed and three other civilians were injured in the attack.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 10. One Police Officer and Two Junta Soldiers Defect with Weapons in Monywa and Thaton

A police officer from Monywa and two junta soldiers from Thaton Township in Mon State have defected with weapons, according to reliable sources.

On April 7, Deputy Police Officer Aye Than Tun from Monywa No. (2) Police Station contacted Light Infantry Battalion No. (25) in Monywa District to defect. He reportedly brought with him one G3 (BA63) assault rifle, two magazines, 49 rounds of ammunition, and other military equipment.

Meanwhile, in Thaton Township, Mon State—under the jurisdiction of KNU Brigade 1—two soldiers from Light Infantry Battalion No. 206, who had completed basic training in Batch 8, defected and made contact with local PDF forces.

On April 8, the two defectors—Ko Kyaw Zaw (aged 24) and Ko Thura (aged 28)—surrendered unarmed. It is reported that they are residents of Magway Region and Yangon Region respectively, and had been forcibly conscripted after being arbitrarily arrested.
