๐Ÿ“Œ๐Ÿ“Œ 1. National Unity Government Sends Message for the 2716th Ta’ang New Year Ceremony

The National Unity Government (NUG) has conveyed a message for the 2716th Ta’ang New Year celebration, which falls on December 11.

In the message, NUG expressed its wishes for all Ta’ang ethnic people of Myanmar to enjoy prosperity and peace during this New Year period and emphasized their hope for a united effort in building a new Ta’ang state enriched with the principles of democracy.

The message also highlighted the ongoing collapse of the oppressive military junta, which has long imposed dominance and control over various ethnic groups. It noted that the junta is now attempting to sustain itself through illegal election processes but fails to provide any guarantees for the federal democratic union desired by all ethnic groups.

The NUG, along with allied ethnic revolutionary forces, has unequivocally rejected the junta’s legitimacy. Significant victories, such as those achieved by the Brotherhood Alliance of three ethnic armed groups (including Ta’ang revolutionaries) since Operation 1027, were emphasized. These victories have led to the capture of military bases, battalions, and regional headquarters in Shan State and beyond, showcasing their exceptional valor and strategic excellence.

The message concluded with wishes for the Ta’ang people to achieve the self-determination and equality they have long sought and to celebrate future New Years with unity and grandeur alongside ethnic compatriots across the country.
