๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 3. Final Assault Launched to Secure Control of Inndaw Township
January 28 | Radio NUG

A military official from the No. 1 Military District Command and a People's Defense Force (PDF) officer from Sagaing Division told People's Spring that only one junta-controlled outpost on Kyapanhlaing Hill remained in Inndaw Township for complete capture.

The assault to seize this outpost began on January 27. It was also revealed that all other key locations in the town, including the police station, township administrative offices, and government departments, were already under revolutionary control.

Clashes in the township have been ongoing since December 2024. Strategic points such as Nabar Junction and Nantha were captured during the offensives.

Currently, only two monasteries, two hill positions, and a row of junta-held houses near Kyapanhlaing Hill remain under junta control.

While the exact number of junta soldiers remaining at the Kyapanhlaing outpost is unclear, reports suggest they lack reinforcements and are facing siege conditions.

The operation to seize Inndaw is being conducted by various PDFs, Sagaing Defense Forces, ABSDF, and KIA, with command led by a major from ABSDF in Katha District Command.

Located near the border of Sagaing Division and Kachin State on the Shwebo-Myitkyina Road, Inndaw serves as a key gateway to Kachin State. The nearby Mawlu Township was captured on December 13, 2023, and Pinlebu Township was secured on October 8, 2024.
