Prime Minister Mahn Win Khaing Than, in his New Year’s address on January 1, called for greater unity to completely eradicate the lawless military junta.

"Our shared aspiration is to ensure the swift success of the revolution and to put an end to the brutal, oppressive dictatorship that torments the people daily. However, we must carefully evaluate the circumstances that will guarantee the revolution's success and the complete downfall of the military regime. Just as it takes time to cure a long-standing illness, dismantling an entrenched regime requires patience and effort.

The junta we are confronting has exploited the nation’s resources to sustain itself for decades, functioning as a violent, lawless institution. It is, therefore, imperative for us to unite more strongly and fortify our efforts," said the Prime Minister.

๐Ÿ“Œ๐Ÿ“Œ 8. Junta Directs Troops to Serve Only Fried Noodles During Buddhist Offerings at Frontline Bases

The military junta has instructed its troops to serve only fried noodles during Buddhist donation ceremonies at both frontline bases and rear headquarters. This directive emerged following the destruction of Mandalay’s "Musoe Ma Toe Ywa" Mohinga shop by the military. Reports of this directive surfaced alongside recent orders issued by the junta.

CDM Major Zin Yaw commented on the matter, stating, "I don’t know if it’s because fried noodles are a Chinese dish or something else, but during the New Year’s events at frontline bases, we saw only fried noodles being served. Maybe they avoid vermicelli because it doesn’t last long, or mohinga because it’s tied to traditional roots. For now, it seems like they’ve shifted entirely to fried noodles."

These reports were compiled and shared by Radio NUG correspondents Min Thi Han, Min Sit Thway, and Kharshel.
