The National Unity Government (NUG) has announced that the official website of the Office of the President is now live and accessible to the public starting from June 15.
According to the statement, the official website of the NUG Office of the President will serve as a centralized platform to view and study the activities, speeches, messages, and announcements of Interim President Duwa Lashi La. It is intended to function as a historical archive and to strengthen communication not only with the people of Myanmar but also with supporters around the world who stand in solidarity with the struggle for justice, peace, and federal democracy. The launch of the website is aimed at enabling broad access and strengthening global engagement.

📌📌 2. Karenni State Endorses Framework for Gender Policy

The Karenni State Consultative Council (KSCC) announced on June 15 that it officially endorsed the Karenni State Gender Policy Framework on June 7, 2025.
The Gender Policy Framework encompasses nine chapters, which include:
- An introduction;
- Current challenges and pressing issues;
- Emphasis on gender equality;
- Analysis of the gender power structure within Karenni State;
- Legal framework;
- The reality of gender conditions and efforts to overcome structural and situational challenges;
- Types of legal instruments requiring special attention;
- The policy framework itself, along with its objectives, guiding principles, and responsibilities;
- Political and institutional frameworks related to gender;
- Promotion of women’s roles in peace and security processes within Karenni State;
- Coordinated approaches to address intersectional oppression across social layers;
- Establishment of gender-sensitive practices and norms;
- Resource allocation and benchmarks;
- Monitoring and evaluation mechanisms;
- Channels for complaints and appeals; and
- A concluding section.

📌📌 3. NUG Japan Representative Participates in Prayer Ceremony Ahead of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s 80th Birthday, Calling for Release of All Political Prisoners

A prayer ceremony was held on June 15 at the Peace Pagoda in Gotenba City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, to mark the upcoming 80th birthday of State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi—who remains unjustly detained—and to call for the swift release of all political prisoners and the restoration of peace in Myanmar.
The ceremony was organized by the League for Democracy in Burma (LDB-Japan), and it was attended by NUG Japan Representative U Saw Bahlay Thein and other officials, who delivered commemorative messages and prayers during the event.

📌📌 4. NUG Korea Representative Attends Protest and March for the Release of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and All Political Prisoners

On the afternoon of June 15, a protest and march titled “Commemorating the 80th Birthday of Myanmar’s Pro-Democracy Leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi – Anti-Coup Rally and Call for the Release of All Political Prisoners” was held in Seoul, South Korea.
The protest and march, organized by the Committee Against the Military Coup, was joined by approximately 300 participants from various organizations. Demonstrators marched from Boshingak Park in central Seoul to Myeongdong Station, expressing their opposition to the military dictatorship and calling for the release of political detainees.
U Yan Naing Tun, the NUG Representative to the Republic of Korea, attended the rally and delivered a speech of solidarity with the revolution, along with a birthday message honoring Daw Aung San Suu Kyi on her 80th birthday.
Following that, the Message of Solidarity to the People of Myanmar, issued by the National League for Democracy (NLD), was publicly read by representatives from the NLD-OC Korea Chapter.
Throughout the march, documentary video footage of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, commemorative songs, and birthday wishes—including a special message from her youngest son, Ko Htein Lin—were broadcast in Korean, English, and Burmese.
Participants wore blue to show their support for the birthday campaign of the people’s leader, and carried roses during the demonstration. Informational pamphlets on Myanmar’s Spring Revolution were also distributed in Korean.
The event concluded with performances of tribute songs such as “Khon Arr Phyet Mi Nge” (Strength-Filled Daughter), “Kyar” (Star), and a final group rendition of the revolutionary song “Thway Thitsa” (Blood Loyalty), before wrapping up the rally.

A ceremony commemorating the 80th birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi was held on June 15 at the Granville Centre in Sydney, Australia.
The event honored the people’s leader by paying deep respect to her spirit, wisdom, integrity, and strength. It also included a collective prayer for the release of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, President U Win Myint, and all political prisoners currently unjustly detained and persecuted in Myanmar.
The commemoration featured cultural performances, traditional Burmese food, and hospitality, creating an atmosphere of solidarity and remembrance.
