According to local reports, the junta's military launched an airstrike on Aung San University in the western part of Myaing Township, Magway Region, resulting in the death of one female student and injuries to six others, including students.
The attack occurred early on January 30, at around 12:30 a.m., when two fighter jets carried out the bombing, injuring three civilians. The local news group "We Love Myaing" confirmed this information.
Later that day, at around 5:30 p.m., three additional fighter jets — two from the Magway Air Base and one from Taungoo Air Base — launched a second round of airstrikes targeting the university. The attack claimed the life of a female university student who had joined the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM).
On January 29, during an earlier assault, a female student, a male student, and two vendors were injured. On January 30, at 5:30 p.m., another airstrike killed a female student from Gangaw Township who was attending university in the area. A female student and a teacher also sustained injuries during the attack, according to the Myaing Intelligence Group.
As of January 31, around 10 a.m., junta surveillance drones continued hovering over the university. Reports indicate that approximately 100 troops from the eastern part of Myaing and Pakokku Townships are advancing into Myaing Township.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 2. Junta's Kamikaze Drone Attack on Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) Military Parade at 76th Karen Revolution Day Celebration

The Karen National Union (KNU) reported that the military attacked a parade ground within the KNLA Brigade 7 area during the 76th Karen Revolution Day celebration using two kamikaze drones.
The attack occurred in the morning, with reports from local sources confirming the strike near the KNU central headquarters parade ground at around 7:30 a.m., injuring one civilian and damaging a structure and a vehicle.
The event was held at Manerplaw, a territory recently recaptured by the KNU. It marked the first time in 30 years that the Karen Revolution Day ceremony could be hosted at this location. High-ranking civilian and military officials from the KNU attended.
Despite the attack, the KNU conducted ceremonies at different locations, depending on security conditions, to commemorate the 76th Karen Revolution Day.

The junta launched an airstrike on a drone unit base belonging to the Yaw Defense Force (YDF) in Yaw Township, Magway Region, resulting in serious injuries to an inmate and damage to military equipment, according to a YDF statement released on January 30.
The attack began on January 29, around 9 p.m., when a fighter jet from Naypyidaw Air Base dropped a 250-pound bomb on the base. This was followed by the release of four more 250-pound bombs at approximately 12:15 a.m.
The explosion caused damage to some military equipment at the drone base. While further details remain undisclosed, the YDF confirmed that an inmate detained for a temple donation theft case sustained serious injuries during the assault.
The junta's airstrike targeted the YDF base despite no active conflict in the area. The YDF has urged civilians in Yaw Township to remain vigilant, dig protective trenches, and seek safe shelters in preparation for possible future airstrikes.
The YDF warned that the junta's ruthless attacks would persist as long as they clung to power. It also stressed the importance of following resistance group instructions and preparing essential supplies, including food and medicine, to endure the conflict period.
On January 29, the YDF issued a notice stating they would escalate their offensive operations. They urged residents to safeguard valuable possessions and brace for upcoming challenges during their operations.
The YDF has been a prominent resistance group, participating in battles alongside the Chin National Front and the Arakan Army (AA) to reclaim key areas in Chin State.

On January 30, at approximately 9:58 p.m., the brutal military junta carried out an airstrike near the high school in Zayat Gyi Village, Taungtha Township, dropping a 500-pound bomb. The attack caused damage to some buildings and killed a goat, although there were no reports of civilian casualties. This incident has been confirmed by the Taungtha People's Movement Committee.
Authorities have urged residents to remain vigilant, establish well-structured underground shelters, and practice utilizing aircraft warning systems to safeguard their safety.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 5. Junta Troops Set Fire to Civilian Properties in Seikphyu Township
On January 31, the Seikphyu Northern People's Defense Force reported that junta troops stationed at the Shwe Baw Kyun Village School in Magway Region’s Pakokku District, consisting of around 40 soldiers, destroyed civilian homes, resulting in the burning of two motorcycles and an automotive workshop.
On January 30, the same junta forces launched a military offensive into Kyauk Kyi and Nyaung Gwe Wa villages. They reportedly vandalized shops and private homes in Nyaung Gwe Wa, setting fire to two motorcycles and an automotive workshop.
The clashes between revolutionary forces and the junta took place near the Pagoda Hill to the south of Nyaung Gwe Wa Village, following the troop’s aggression.
Reports indicate that over 7,000 civilians fled for safety due to random gunfire and heavy artillery shelling by the junta troops before they entered the villages. The retreating junta column was last seen moving through Taung Phyu and Sha Taw villages before entering checkpoint 22 in the late afternoon.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 6. Attack on Administrative Office in North Okkalapa Township Injures Two
On January 31, the North Okkalapa Township People's Defense Force (PDF) reported an explosion at the Ward Dh Administrative Office, which had been collaborating with the junta in illegal land sales along the firebreak lands and creek embankments in Yangon Region's North Okkalapa Township. The attack left two individuals injured.
In response to increasing complaints from locals regarding these land transactions, the PDF conducted a coordinated operation using grenades and remote-controlled mines on January 30. The attack resulted in two injuries, and investigations are ongoing.
According to a PDF official, these lands are public properties and will be reclaimed after the revolution.
It was revealed that the military's strategic unit, Division 2, led by Commander Colonel Tun Tun Win, had authorized the transactions alongside North Okkalapa Township officials, including Battalion Commander Captain Chan Myay Win. Chairman Aung Myint Kyaw and his team allegedly sold the land for a bribe of 10 million kyats each.
