1. The National Unity Government stated that the Argentina court's attempt to indict the leaders of the People’s Government and issue arrest warrants will not only undermine the unity of the people of Myanmar but also hinder the Spring Revolution, which is actively fighting to end the military dictatorship, ultimately benefiting the military dictatorship. The Myanmar military leaders, responsible for the brutal killings of the Rohingya, should be prosecuted in international courts to ensure justice for the victims. The 2017 atrocities were committed by the military under Min Aung Hlaing, who, along with his associates, is unconditionally accountable for these crimes under Articles 20 (b) and (c) of the 2008 Constitution. Consequently, the UK-based Burmese Rohingya Organization UK (BROUK) supports the prosecution and arrest warrants issued against Min Aung Hlaing and his associates by the Argentina court. We believe the Argentina court is attempting to remove former President U Htin Kyaw and current State Counselor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi from the indictment due to false accusations. They should not be listed alongside Min Aung Hlaing and his associates, who are guilty of genocide and war crimes. Both U Htin Kyaw and Daw Aung San Suu Kyi have worked towards a lasting solution to the Rohingya issue, including the establishment of the “Kofi Annan Commission.” Additionally, the National Unity Government has created a “Rohingya Policy” and is dedicated to ensuring justice for the Rohingya people. The wrongful indictment of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and U Htin Kyaw could foster misunderstandings between the Rohingya and others, significantly obstructing long-term peace, harmony, and the development of democracy in Myanmar.

2. Union Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Mahn Winn Khaing Thann, attended the Central Committee for the Implementation of the Interim Local Administration Meeting, where he urged efforts to uncover the truth behind the murder of Father Donald Martin. He expressed appreciation for the arrangements made on February 17 regarding the murder of the Father in Shwebo Township on February 14, and called for continued efforts to bring the truth to light swiftly. The Prime Minister emphasized the need for an effective information flow and reporting system within the public administration and urged relevant ministries to keep working on ongoing cases and provide timely reports. On February 14, 2025, at 6:00 PM, Fr. Donald Martin, 44, from the Mandalay Archdiocese, was murdered at Lourdes Church in Kangyi Taw Village, Shwebo District. Within a day of receiving the information, the People’s Defense Forces (PDF) Shwebo District Battalion (5) and the District People’s Defense Forces (DPF) arrested 10 suspects, who have been identified as members of a local defense force. A court of inquiry has been established, and investigations are ongoing.

3. The Myanmar Parliament delegation, led by U Aung Kyi Nyunt, Chairman of the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw-CRPH, participated in a parliamentary hearing at the UN Headquarters in New York from February 13 to 14. The theme was “Accelerating Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals: Finance, Institutions and Politics,” as stated in a press release from the Committee. The hearing addressed global challenges in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, implementation potential, and the role of the parliamentary sector. The Myanmar delegation discussed the setbacks in the country’s development post-coup, efforts by the parliament and the National Unity Government to address these issues, and the need for international support for development initiatives led by the National Unity Government and ethnic revolutionary organizations. The Myanmar parliamentary delegation met separately with the Permanent Representatives of Canada and Malaysia to discuss the situation in Myanmar. The Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) has retained Myanmar as a member, as its parliamentarians have continued their duties since the military's illegal seizure of power in 2021, and it recognizes the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) as an official dialogue partner. They also urge cooperation and support for revolutionary forces to end the illegal military dictatorship in Myanmar and build a new future for the nation.

5. The All Myanmar Political Prisoners Network (PPNM) reports that Daw San Yi, a 65-year-old political prisoner who had imprisoned 22 years in Obo Prison, died on February 10th from hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, and liver disease. She was arrested by the Chan Mya Thazi Township police on April 22, 2021, for allegedly harboring three youths involved in a bombing at the No. (10) Police Station and was charged under Sections 52(a)/50(j) of the Penal Code. Daw San Yi was sentenced to 22 years in prison on February 5, 2022.
