๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 1. PDF Comrade Killed by Drone Bomb Dropped by Junta Forces

A People’s Defense Force (PDF) fighter was killed after being hit by a drone bomb dropped by the junta forces in Kyauk Tan Khar Township, Bago Region. The National Unity Government (NUG) Ministry of Defense’s Hpapun District Battalion-1, Battalion-7001, Spring Warriors Column announced this on February 13.

According to the Spring Warriors Column, 24-year-old Comrade Gatone sacrificed his life for the country and the people while resisting the junta troops in a ground battle on February 11 in Kyauk Tan Khar Township.

The statement further described Comrade Gatone as a disciplined, responsible, and self-sacrificing soldier since the beginning of his service in the resistance forces. Due to his outstanding dedication, he has been recognized as a "Heroic Martyr" in the revolutionary struggle.

The funeral of Comrade Gatone, a 24-year-old member of the Spring Warriors Column, was held today, February 14.

Spring Warriors Column also extended its gratitude to the commander of Military Region-2, Battalion-9 Commander, other responsible officials, comrades, and civilians who contributed to organizing the funeral of Comrade Gatone.

Resistance forces on the ground reported that the junta army has frequently launched counterattacks using attack drones after facing setbacks in ground battles in Kyauk Tan Khar Township.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 2. Military Drops Over 40 Bombs on Villages Near Kanbani Base in Southern Kalay Township

The junta forces carried out aerial bombardments, dropping more than 40 bombs on villages near Kanbani military base in southern Kalay Township, Sagaing Region, according to local reports.

A Y-12 aircraft took off from Kalay Airport and dropped over 40 bombs between 7:05 PM and 7:44 PM on February 13.

The airstrikes came after reports emerged that resistance forces had captured the junta’s Kanbani base on February 13. The base had been under attack by revolutionary forces since the night of February 11.

Local sources reported that the junta forces continued aerial bombardments not only on battle zones but also on areas where there were no active clashes.

According to local sources, resistance forces seized more than 40 to 50 weapons during the battle to capture the Kanbani base.

Kanbani base is located along the Kalay-Gangaw road, which connects Kalay, Gangaw, and Chin State. It is one of two key junta bases in the region. Following the fall of the Kanbani base, the junta has been reinforcing its nearby military bases, leading to ongoing clashes in the area.

Due to the junta’s relentless airstrikes, tens of thousands of civilians have been forced to flee for safety.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 3. Three Civilians Killed and Many Injured as Junta Bombs Two Villages in Kyaikhto

The junta forces carried out aerial bombardments on two villages in Kyaikhto Township, Mon State, killing three civilians and injuring many others. Buddhist monasteries and pagodas were also destroyed, according to a statement from the Karen National Union (KNU) Central Committee.

At approximately 10:20 AM on February 13, the junta forces launched a jet fighter airstrike on Painnegon village, directly hitting a Buddhist monastery and other parts of the village. The attack killed three civilians and injured over ten others while causing significant damage to religious sites.

Later that day, at around 12:00 PM and again after 4:00 PM, the junta forces bombed Kawkat village in Kyaikhto Township, damaging school buildings in the village.

Additionally, on February 13, the junta forces dropped two 500-pound bombs on the Christian church compound and residential areas in Tagaelaung Chaungphyar village, Bilin Township. As a result, a Christian church and 17 civilian homes were destroyed.

The KNU Central Committee stated that the junta forces have been deliberately targeting civilian structures, including village schools, Christian churches, Buddhist monasteries, and pagodas, in their airstrikes.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 4. KA Captures the Last Military Base on the Karenni-Thai Border

The Karenni Army (KA) has successfully seized the last remaining junta military base, Point 5416, located on the Myanmar-Thai border in Karenni State. KA Battalion 5 confirmed the capture, stating that a significant amount of weapons and ammunition was seized.

The junta had occupied Point 5416, also known as "Taung Katoan Base," for 30 years. However, on February 13, KA forces managed to fully take control of the base.

Colonel Phone Naing, the Chief of Staff of the Karenni Army, confirmed to local news agencies that the final junta stronghold, Taung Katoan Base, had fallen.

The base was manned by approximately 40 junta troops. On February 12, KA launched an assault using heavy artillery and drones. The junta responded with airstrikes, leading to an intense battle before KA forces ultimately overran the base. Reports indicate that retreating junta soldiers fled toward the Loikaw-Sammun military base in Shan State.

On December 28, KA had also captured the heavily fortified "Mele Ywar" outpost, another key junta stronghold on the Karenni-Thai border. During that operation, KA forces seized 60 RPG rounds, 30 mortar shells (81mm), over 200 mortar rounds (60mm), more than 15,000 rounds of ammunition, as well as grenades, landmines, and military vehicles, according to military records.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 5. Four Junta Soldiers Killed in Roadside Bomb Attack in Chauk Township

A military convoy in Chauk Township, Magway Region, was hit by a roadside bomb attack near Makee Kone village, resulting in the deaths of four junta soldiers, according to the Chauk Revolution Army (CRA).

The convoy, which included a large truck, a smaller vehicle, and four motorcycles, was carrying around 40 troops. The attack took place at approximately 2:30 PM on February 13, near the intersection of the Taungtha road in Salay Township.

Explosive devices had been pre-planted in the area, allowing resistance forces to ambush the convoy effectively. As a result, four soldiers were killed and seven others were injured, CRA reported.

The operation was a coordinated effort between CRA, the Karenni Defense Force (KDF), the "Daung Sit Thi" guerrilla unit, and allied resistance groups. Following the attack, the junta convoy was forced to retreat without advancing further.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 6. Informant Executed in Thegone Township for Spying on PDFs

The People’s Defense Force (PDF) executed a junta informant known as "Dha Nge Pyone" in Thegone Township, Bago Region, for providing intelligence on resistance activities to the military, according to Battalion 3601 of the People's Defense Force.

Dha Nge Pyone, a resident of Thegone Township’s Ward 2 on Sutumuni Road, was ambushed and shot dead on February 5 at around 6:30 PM while visiting his in-laws' house in Dharthway Kyauk village. According to reports, he attempted to flee when confronted by resistance fighters, leading to his fatal shooting.

He was identified as a former Pyu Saw Htee militia member who had undergone a 14-day military training course at Infantry Battalion 5 under Division 66 in Inma. He had been actively gathering intelligence on resistance forces operating both in urban and rural areas and was responsible for passing this information to Division 66’s Infantry Battalion 5. He was also involved in the arrest of civilians, according to PDF sources.

The operation to eliminate Dha Nge Pyone was carried out by Battalion 3601 of the People's Defense Force (PPDF) under Pyay District Command. Resistance fighters confiscated a complete Pyu Saw Htee uniform, a Pyu Saw Htee cap, and ammunition from his possession.
