๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 1. People's Defense Force Simultaneously Attacks and Destroys Seven Military Junta Outposts in Operational Area (2)

The People's Defense Force (PDF) has launched simultaneous attacks on seven junta outposts protecting major towns within Operational Area (2), successfully capturing them, according to reports.

On the night of February 15, combined forces of Strategic Divisions 24, 25, and 26, along with KNLA troops, launched coordinated offensives against junta outposts in Tharlann Kone, located at the entrance of Taw Kywe Inn Town in Kyaukkyi Township, Bago Region, and the outpost of Kha Ma Ya 307 Battalion at the entrance of Pann Nwe Kone Town. The resistance forces successfully seized these bases and set them on fire.

During the attack, two junta soldiers were killed, and four others were wounded, while the resistance forces managed to retreat without casualties.

Additionally, Battalion 7803 of the PDF carried out an assault on a junta garrison stationed in Sin Tae Kone village, Phyu Township, Bago Region. The casualties from this attack are still under investigation.

Furthermore, forces from Phyu Pa Ka Pha and Ayeyarwady Battalion 6002 launched an assault on the Sargone checkpoint, located along the old Yangon-Mandalay highway. In the attack, two junta personnel, including a police chief, were killed. Unfortunately, one resistance fighter also lost his life.

The Strategic Division 25 Combined Force attacked and captured the junta outpost in Nyaung Pin Village, located along the Pann Nwe Kone-Kwin Chaung Wa road, killing five junta soldiers and seizing weapons and ammunition. The resistance forces successfully withdrew without any casualties.

Meanwhile, KNLA Battalion 9 and PDF Battalion 3702 jointly attacked the junta's Taung Ywar Monastery Garrison near Nat Thon Kwin Town in Kyaukkyi Township, resulting in one junta soldier being killed. The resistance forces managed to withdraw without any harm.

Weapons and ammunition seized from these attacks include:

  • One 60mm mortar,
  • Ten 60mm mortar shells,
  • Two MA-11 rifles,
  • Four ammunition boxes,
  • Two small directional mines,
  • Two 14-pressure mines,
  • Six hand grenades,
  • One hundred MA rifle bullets.

Additionally, PDF Battalion 9913 (Taw Win Daung Battalion) attacked and set fire to the Yangon-Mandalay railway checkpoint between Taw Wi and Thein Ta Pin villages in Nyaung Lay Pin Township. Casualty details from this attack are still under investigation.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 2. Two Consecutive Landmine Attacks on Junta’s Armored Vehicles on Monywa-Chaung-U Road

The Idiots Column has reported that two separate landmine attacks targeted junta armored vehicles traveling on the Monywa-Chaung-U road in Sagaing Region.

The first attack occurred on February 15 at around 1:40 PM, where a jammer vehicle and an armored vehicle were hit by five directional mines and one Padesa mine.

Later, at 6:30 PM, another armored vehicle from Namakhon was struck by a pre-planted Padesa mine.

These attacks were conducted by a coalition of resistance forces, including:

  • North Western People's Defense Force (N.W.P.D.F),
  • Idiots Column (No. 9 Battalion, Yin Mar Bin District),
  • Youth Vigor Revolution Force (Subdivision 2, No. 11 Battalion, Monywa District),
  • Royal God People's Defense Force (Pakokku Pa Ka Pha Attack Unit 4),
  • Black Tiger Attacks Force (LPDF).

The operation resulted in seven junta soldiers being killed. Despite retaliatory gunfire from the junta, all resistance fighters managed to retreat safely.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 3. Seven Homes Destroyed by Fire Due to Junta Shelling in Min Hla Village

According to Arakan Princess Media, heavy artillery shelling by junta forces set fire to seven homes in Min Hla Village, Sittwe Township, Rakhine State.

Between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM on February 15, the junta troops stationed at Zawmadat Village indiscriminately fired 13 artillery shells into Min Hla Village.

As a result, seven houses were completely destroyed by fire, but by 5:00 PM, the fire was successfully extinguished.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 4. Three Civilians Seriously Injured Due to Junta's Violent Actions in Madaya Township

According to Voice of Mandalay, three civilians suffered severe injuries due to junta attacks in Madaya Township, Mandalay Region.

At approximately 1:30 PM on February 16, the junta indiscriminately fired artillery shells into Kyauk Tan Tar Ywar Thit Village, wounding three male civilians.

One of the injured is in critical condition, while the other two sustained severe injuries.

Furthermore, at 1:22 PM, the junta launched an airstrike using a 500-pound bomb near Myosoe Kone and Bo Kone areas, east of Madaya Town.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 5. PDF Members Participate in Stupa Construction Together with Locals in Homalin Township

In Homalin Township, Sagaing Region, members of the People's Defense Force (PDF) joined hands with local residents in the construction of a stupa, according to a statement released by the Homalin Township People's Defense Force (Pa Ka Pha).

The statement highlighted that PDF members contributed their labor alongside the locals as a charitable effort in the stupa-building process.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 6. SAC Soldier Defects with Weapon in Myaing

A soldier from the military council's supply convoy stationed in Myaing, Magway Region, defected with his weapon and ammunition, according to an announcement by the Kyarr Thit Nat Army’s Myaing unit.

On the morning of February 15, a junta soldier named Nyi Nyi Phyo made contact and defected to the Kyarr Thit Nat Army’s Myaing unit, bringing with him 133 rounds of 5.56mm ammunition, a grenade, three MA-1 rifle magazines, and three mobile phones.

The defecting soldier was originally from Budalin, Sagaing Region. He was captured by Shan State Army-North (SNA) forces on October 18, 2024, while working in a gold mining operation. After being handed over to the police, he was forcibly conscripted into the military.

Following three months of military training in Kale, he was deployed to Tantse before being assigned to Infantry Battalion 101 (Pakokku). He later joined the military’s supply convoy and was sent to Myaing.

The defected soldier has been safely received and is being properly taken care of, according to the statement. The announcement also urged both former junta soldiers and newly conscripted troops to reach out to the nearest revolutionary forces and defect at the earliest opportunity.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 7. SAC Soldier from Light Infantry Battalion 73 Defects to KNU with Weapon

A soldier from the junta’s Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 73, stationed at the Thapyay Nyunt camp in Mu Township, under the administration of the Karen National Union (KNU) in Kawthoolei, Hpa-pun District, has defected with his weapon, according to a statement from the KNU.

The defector, 38-year-old Ko Soe Thu, surrendered his weapon—a pistol along with 70 rounds of ammunition—to KNU’s Battalion 8 in Mu Township.

As a token of appreciation, KNU’s local officials awarded him a monetary reward of 1 million kyats.

The KNU's Mu Township authorities reaffirmed their warm welcome to any soldier willing to abandon the military dictatorship and stand with the people.
