February 16, Radio NUG
A Myanmar parliamentary delegation, led by U Aung Kyi Nyunt, Chairperson of the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH), attended the parliamentary hearing held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, USA, from February 13 to 14. The event was conducted under the theme: "Accelerating the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals: Finance, Institutions, and Policy", according to a statement released by CRPH.
During the hearing, discussions revolved around the global challenges, implementation prospects, and the role of parliaments in advancing sustainable development goals.
The Myanmar parliamentary delegation highlighted the developmental stagnation following the military coup, the efforts of the National Unity Government (NUG) and the Parliament to overcome these challenges, and the need for international support in ensuring the continuation of development projects in areas under the administration of NUG and ethnic revolutionary organizations.
Additionally, the delegation held separate meetings with the permanent representatives of Canada and Malaysia to discuss the current situation in Myanmar.
The Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) has continued to recognize Myanmar’s parliamentary representatives since the military’s illegal power grab in 2021. The CRPH has been acknowledged as the official representative in parliamentary discussions, and this recognition has been reaffirmed in subsequent assemblies.
Through its participation in IPU conferences and meetings, the Myanmar parliamentary delegation has been actively raising awareness on the human rights violations perpetrated by the military junta, the efforts of resistance organizations, and the plight of internally displaced persons (IDPs).
Furthermore, the delegation has urged international partners to collaborate with and support the revolutionary forces in their mission to dismantle the illegal military regime and establish a new democratic Myanmar.
The delegation to this parliamentary hearing included U Aung Kyi Nyunt (CRPH Chairperson), Dr. Win Myat Aye (Union Minister of Humanitarian and Disaster Management), and Daw Myat Thee Thar Tun (Chairperson of the International Relations Committee), according to the statement.

๐๐ 2. Tribute to Comrade Julio, a Key Contributor to NUG's Online Services
February 16, Radio NUG
The Ministry of Human Rights has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Comrade Julio, who played a crucial role in developing the online services of the National Unity Government (NUG) and the Ministry of Human Rights. Despite having specialized in geography in his academic studies, Julio had a strong passion for technology and made significant contributions to the digital infrastructure of NUG's online services.
Julio was also passionate about photography and had a strong enthusiasm for traveling. He had served as a civil servant since 2018 and actively participated in the nonviolent civil disobedience movement (CDM) against the military coup since 2021.
Since March 2022, Julio had been working with the Ministry of Human Rights, consistently seeking new knowledge and personal growth. It is said that he once moved his fellow comrades to tears by reciting a poem about longing for home.
Though it remains uncertain whether he had a particular passion for dancing, his comrades fondly remember him for entertaining them with dance performances. The Ministry of Human Rights has vowed to carry forward Julio's unfinished revolutionary duties, reaffirming its commitment to building a more liberated, equal, and just Myanmar.
