๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 1. PSLF and Military Junta Meeting Ends Without Success

A meeting between representatives of the Palaung State Liberation Front/Ta’ang National Liberation Army (PSLF/TNLA), led by Deputy Commander-in-Chief Tar Jote Ja, and the junta delegation, led by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Central Command Ko Ko Oo, was held at the Haigen Hotel in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China, on February 16 and 17, 2025, as arranged by the Chinese government, according to a statement from PSLF/TNLA.

During the discussions, both sides presented their demands, but due to difficulties in negotiations, the meeting concluded on the afternoon of February 17 without reaching an agreement.

PSLF proposed the following conditions for a ceasefire:

Both sides must halt hostilities and remain stationed at their current positions.

All military operations—including offensives, drone attacks, artillery shelling, and airstrikes—must be suspended.

Civilians in both controlled territories must be allowed free movement for livelihood purposes, including the transportation of food and medicine.

However, due to difficulties in reaching a consensus, Chinese Special Representative Mr. Deng Xijun mediated the discussions and concluded the meeting with an agreement that further negotiations could take place after relevant stakeholders conducted additional consultations.
