๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 1. Escape of Some Detainees from Ye Township Police Station Following Shooting Incident

According to local reports, a shooting occurred at the Ye Township Police Station in Mon State, resulting in the escape of several detainees. The incident reportedly happened on February 1 at around 10 a.m. during an altercation between detainees and police officers, leading to fatalities among the police and the escape of several detainees. A police source confirmed the event.

It was reported that the detainees managed to obtain weapons and ammunition from security personnel stationed at a central outpost, leading to an exchange of gunfire.

According to the report, during the distribution of lunch by Deputy Police Chief Naing Lwin Oo and officers, including Police Sergeant Myint Htun and Constable Kyaw Swar Htet, detainees seized firearms and opened fire, killing the three officers. Deputy Police Chief Myint Oo also sustained injuries during the incident.

Some of the escapees were reportedly rescued by the Ye Biloo group. The leader of the group later posted on social media, stating, "Ye Township Police Station escapees—you won’t be caught, green heads. Ye Biloo Battalion is swift."

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 2. Four Pyu Saw Htee Members Killed in Market Ambush

The Shwe Jophyu People's Defense Force reported that four members of the Pyu Saw Htee militia were killed in a shooting attack as they returned from the Si Mee Khon market in Myin Gyan Township, Mandalay Region, on January 28.

The ambush occurred on a road between the naval base at the deep-water port and Sone Village. Resistance forces reportedly engaged the Pyu Saw Htee members as they were returning on motorbikes after shopping.

According to reports, the joint attack was conducted by the Shwe Jophyu People's Defense Force-Myin Gyan and the MNGF Northern Myin Gyan Guerrilla Force. None of the resistance fighters sustained casualties.

Sone Village, known as a Pyu Saw Htee stronghold, has allegedly been involved in looting public property and committing abuses in nearby communities.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 3. Attack on Letpadoe Police Station Near Shwe Set Taw Pagoda Causes Structural Damage

In Magway Region's Minbu Township near Shwe Set Taw Pagoda, a coalition of resistance forces attacked Letpadoe Village Police Station, damaging bunkers and buildings, according to Battalion No. 6 of Minbu District.

The attack reportedly took place on February 1, driven by alleged oppression of locals and forced military recruitment. Resistance forces used drones to drop over 20 bombs during the assault, causing damage to fortifications and infrastructure inside the station.

The joint operation was carried out by the People's Defense Forces from Minbu, Pakokku, Myingyan, and Seikphyu, along with Earthquake Defense Force, Jocker Guerrilla Force, and Young Force units.

Authorities urged civilians in nearby villages, including Paya, Kone Ma Gyi, Uyin, Lout Pyu Lay, Podaung, and Than Paya Kone, to maintain a distance of at least one mile from military bases due to the potential for intensified clashes.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 4. Women's Empowerment Programs Held in Ta’ang Territory

The Department of Women's Development under the Ta'ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) held the graduation ceremony for Women's Empowerment Program Batch 2 and the opening ceremony for Batch 3 on January 27 in a PSLF/TNLA-administered area.

The event was attended by Colonel Tar Gyuu Zaar, Finance Chief Yar Shwe Nge Oo, Major Yar E Thway, and Women's Development Department Head Major Yeko, who delivered speeches.

Colonel Tar Gyuu Zaar emphasized the importance of dedication during work and fostering equality among the public while advancing women's development.

Batch 2 of the training included 24 participants, while Batch 3 saw 40 enrollees. The 7-month training covered 17 subjects, including human rights, women’s rights, political studies, and child rights, taught by qualified instructors.

The program aims to empower women to take leadership roles, reduce violence against women, support economic activities for household sustainability, and contribute to political development within Ta'ang communities.
