๐Ÿ“Œ๐Ÿ“Œ 1. Maintaining Unity is Crucial to Completely Dismantling the Military Dictatorship, Says Acting President

March 5

Acting President Duwa Lashi La has emphasized that only by maintaining the highest level of unity in the Spring Revolution can the military dictatorship be entirely dismantled. He made this statement during the National Unity Government (NUG) Cabinet Meeting (8/2025) held on March 4.

"When we study our country’s political history, we see that it has been filled with episodes of division and disunity. Even after gaining independence, we continued to witness stories of fragmentation, as well as an overwhelming number of factional splits and divisions. In the current Spring Revolution, it is only through upholding the highest possible level of unity that we can push forward until we achieve the complete eradication of the military dictatorship.

At the same time, we must be mindful that successive military regimes have always ruled using the strategy of ‘divide and conquer.’ Throughout history, military rulers have deliberately fostered internal divisions among ethnic groups and have actively sought to prevent revolutionary forces from uniting. Therefore, we must not act in a way that pleases our enemy," said the Acting President.

The meeting was attended by Acting President Duwa Lashi La, Prime Minister Mahn Win Khaing Than, as well as Union Ministers and Deputy Ministers.
