๐ฉ๐ฉ 1. MNDAA Troops That Opened Fire on Civilians to Be Held Accountable; MNDAA Pledges Responsibility for Civilian Casualties

According to local reports, an investigation commission will be formed to prosecute the MNDAA troops that opened fire and killed civilians who were protesting against gold mining activities carried out by MNDAA forces near Nam Lim Creek, Pin Khan Village, Mongsi Township.
Regarding the incident, a negotiation meeting was held on March 6 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Banyan Kha Primary School. The meeting included five representatives from Banyan Kha villagers and five officials from MNDAA, reaching a total of seven agreements.
During the discussion, Banyan Kha villagers presented eight key demands. The MNDAA side fully agreed to a complete cessation of gold and mineral mining activities along Nam Lim Creek, which was identified as the root cause of the conflict. Additionally, MNDAA pledged to resolve the matter according to Kachin customary law (Bunglat Hka) for the deceased and their families, take responsibility for medical expenses and compensation for the injured, and refrain from establishing military camps near residential areas.
The MNDAA troops responsible for shooting and killing civilians were reportedly based in Mong Hwan. The bodies of the deceased Banyan Kha villagers were buried on the afternoon of March 7.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 2. Three Civilians Killed, Homes Destroyed in Airstrikes on Two Villages in the Border Area of Tanta Bin and Kyauk Gyi

At around 3:00 PM on March 6, the Myanmar military carried out airstrikes on Kyauk Gyi Pauk Village and Ma Kyee Taw Village, located on the border of Tanta Bin and Kyauk Gyi Townships in Bago Region. According to local reports, six bombs were dropped in the attack.
As a result, three civilians were killed: Daw Htway (63) from Kyauk Gyi Pauk Village, U Aung Myint Aye (55), and Daw Khin Oo (53) from Ma Kyee Taw Village. Additionally, around five houses were destroyed by fire.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 3. Jet Fighters, Drones, and Bombings by the Military Junta Set Fire to Many Homes in Kyauk Phyu and Sittwe Townships

At approximately 1:16 PM on March 7, the military junta dropped two bombs from a jet fighter on Kyat Tain Auk Village in Kyauk Phyu Township, destroying at least 35 houses in a fire, according to APM News. Additionally, one cow was reported dead due to the fire.
Similarly, on March 6, the junta conducted two drone bombings on U Kin Village in Kyauk Phyu Township, resulting in near-total destruction of the village.
The attacks were reportedly carried out from the junta's Danyawaddy Naval Base Headquarters (DNRK), targeting U Kin Village once at 1:30 PM and again at 5:15 PM with drone bombings.
Furthermore, at around 8:50 AM on March 6, junta forces stationed in Kan Kauk Kyun Village, Sittwe Township, deployed ten drones to bomb War Bo Village, destroying at least 35 civilian homes in the ensuing fire.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 4. A Soldier from Infantry Battalion (258) Defects with His Weapon in Yesagyo Township

On the night of March 5 at around 9:00 PM, a soldier named Ye Yint Aung (23) from Infantry Battalion (258) in Yesagyo Township, Pakokku District, contacted the People's Defense Force – Yesagyo (Pa Ka Pha) and defected with his weapon, according to reports.
Ye Yint Aung was forcibly conscripted by the military junta in November 2024 while crossing the Sagaing Bridge and was made to serve under duress.
He defected carrying an MA-1 rifle. The People's Defense Force has also encouraged other junta soldiers to safely defect by contacting 09988895428 for assistance.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 5. Two Soldiers Who Were Abducted During SAC's Weekly Military Conscription - 2 Surrender with Weapons

On March 2, it was reported that two soldiers—Aung Zeya Tun and Thaw Tar Min Htet—who were forcibly taken during the SAC's Weekly Military Conscription - 2 program, have defected to the People's Defense Force (PDF) along with their weapons.
These two defectors were from Infantry Battalion (1) under the command of Light Infantry Division (66) and surrendered to the Naypyidaw Regional Military Command's Infantry Battalion (901) of the People's Defense Force.
According to reports, they brought along one MA-3 assault rifle, one magazine, one hand grenade, and twenty-four rounds of 5.56mm (Burma-made) ammunition during their defection.
Additionally, Infantry Battalion (901) under the Naypyidaw Regional Military Command has called for assistance, requesting 20 million kyats worth of supplies and ammunition, which has been publicized for support. Contributions can be made through NUG Pay, SDB, US Zelle, Singapore PayNow, Thai accounts, Korean accounts, and other country-specific accounts.

On March 6, between 11:26 AM and 12:55 PM, a battle broke out on the Yangon-Mawlamyine Highway, Kyaikto-Bilin section, between the SAC’s Convoy Security Ambush Unit and the combined forces of Nagapyaw PDF Unit and Battalion 7805, 4 Tapye Nyote Strike Force.
During the engagement, four SAC troops, including a three-star officer, were killed, and at least four others were wounded. On the resistance side, one PDF fighter was martyred, while two others sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 7. Child Injured as Junta Shells Kyi Kone Village in Chaung-U; Airborne Paratroopers Attack Inside Chaung-U Town

On March 6, at 3:40 PM, junta troops stationed at the Myapule Inspection Gate in Chaung-U Township launched artillery shells, which landed in Kyi Kone Village, injuring a child and damaging a monastery.
Furthermore, on March 7, the SAC military deployed paratroopers for reconnaissance operations in Chaung-U Township. At around 1:58 PM, these airborne troops opened fire from the air, launching direct attacks in the area.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 8. Junta Kills 15 Civilians Nationwide from March 1 to 7, with Magway Region Reporting the Highest Death Toll

According to data compiled by the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP), between March 1 and 7, 2025, a total of 15 civilians—4 women and 11 men—were killed by the junta's forces across the country. The Magway Region recorded the highest number of casualties, with 12 deaths.
Among the 15 victims:
- 9 were killed in junta airstrikes, making air raids the leading cause of civilian deaths.
- 5 were shot and killed, making gunfire the second-highest cause of fatalities.
On March 2, in Myaezuntaung Village, Yesagyo Township, Magway Region, junta forces raided the area, arresting several locals and burning down homes. When residents attempted to stop them, junta troops opened fire, killing multiple people and later setting their bodies on fire.
