๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 1. Artillery Strike on Vehicle Preparing for Evacuation in Kyone Doe Kills 10 Civilians

In Kyone Doe Town, located in Kawkareik Township, Karen State, at least 10 civilians were reportedly killed when an artillery shell struck and exploded on a vehicle that was being prepared for evacuation due to armed conflict, near Nwarchan Kone Village.

The incident occurred on April 15, when junta forces from Light Infantry Battalions (LIB) 545 and 546 launched artillery strikes targeting Nwarchan Kone Village. One of the shells hit a vehicle that was being readied for displacement, causing the death of around 10 civilians, including a pregnant woman.

Additionally, on April 16, between 7:00 and 8:00 AM, jet fighters launched further airstrikes targeting Kyone Doe, Kaw Wa Lay, Thayar Kone, and Nwarchan Kone areas. Two bombs were dropped from a Y-12 aircraft, while three more bombing runs were reportedly carried out over Hline Sain, Yangon, and Mi Chaung Inn areas in Kawkareik Township using the same aircraft.

Meanwhile, heavy clashes are ongoing in areas around Ngetine Village near Kyone Doe, between junta forces and Revolutionary Joint Forces, particularly near SAC Light Infantry Battalion 12 and Yinkwe Hill.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 2. Airstrike on Clinic in Sagaing Region’s Thitsein Village Kills Four, Including Child

In eastern Wetlet Township, Sagaing Region, a junta airstrike targeting the Thitsein Village Clinic with a 500-pound bomb reportedly killed four civilians, including a 5-year-old child.

The bombing occurred on April 16 (Thingyan Atet Day) at 1:40 PM, when a fighter jet dropped a 500-pound bomb, which exploded near residential homes west of the clinic. The blast killed four individuals, including the young child, injured six others, and destroyed two houses.

According to local residents, no fighting had taken place in the village, and the community had cancelled Thingyan celebrations due to ongoing earthquake-related trauma. Civilians were staying quietly in their homes when the unexpected airstrike occurred.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 3. Pregnant Woman Killed, Four Others Injured in Junta Airstrike on Kawkareik Village

A junta airstrike on Myauk Kamaryat Village in Kawkareik Township, Karen State, killed a pregnant woman and injured four others, including children, according to a statement from the Mon National Liberation Army (MNLA).

The attack took place at 12:40 PM on April 16 (Thingyan Atet Day), when a Y-12 aircraft dropped bombs on the village. As a result, 37-year-old pregnant woman Ma Nhin Oo was killed instantly. Two children aged 7 and 9, and two adult men, sustained injuries.

Due to the junta's ongoing assaults using both heavy artillery and aircraft, the MNLA has issued an advisory urging civilians to stay alert, closely monitor military developments, and remain cautious for their safety.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 4. Airstrike on Thaung Tan Village, Oak Twin Township, Leaves Two Civilians Dead

At around 3:00 PM on April 15, a junta aircraft bombed Thaung Tan Village in Yae Oh Sin village tract, Oak Twin Township, without any prior fighting reported in the area.

According to local sources, four members of a family were hit by the bomb. Among them, a 35-year-old man named Ko Myo and his wife later died from their injuries while being transported for medical treatment.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 5. Intense Clashes Between SAC Troops and KIA in Lawar Village: Over 10 Civilians Arrested, Around 100 Homes Set on Fire

Heavy fighting has been reported in Lawar Village between the military junta troops, local People's Defense Forces from Warazup, and the Kachin Independence Army (KIA), with over 10 civilians reportedly arrested by the military and around 100 homes burned down, according to the Kachin News Group.

Lawar Village, located along the Lido Road connecting Hpakant and Tanai—where clashes have continued for nearly a month—was subjected to an aerial bombardment by the junta forces on April 15. The attack included the burning and destruction of approximately 100 homes.

Additionally, the junta troops reportedly detained more than 10 local civilians and shot dead a mentally ill man named Nla Naw, who was around 40 years old.

On March 31, joint forces of the KIA launched an assault on junta troops and local militia stationed at a school and residential homes in Lawar Village, successfully driving them out.

Subsequently, on April 15, the junta forces carried out an airstrike and launched a ground incursion during which they burned and destroyed properties. Following the retreat of KIA joint forces from the village, the intensity of the clashes further escalated.

Over the course of nearly a month of ongoing hostilities, junta forces have conducted aerial bombings no fewer than 10 times. Due to the exchange of gunfire between the two sides, around three civilians have been reportedly injured, according to local sources.

More than 1,000 residents from Lawar, Khun Sai Yan, and Magaung Taung villages have fled to seek refuge in Mogaung and Namti towns. With the displacement period prolonging, the affected populations are in increasing need of humanitarian assistance.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 6. SAC Conducts Airstrike on Laik Kyay Village, Thabeikkyin Township Using a Jet Fighter

At around 7:17 AM on April 16, the junta forces launched an airstrike on Laik Kyay Village in Thabeikkyin Township using a jet fighter from the Meiktila-Shan-Tae Air Base, as confirmed by the Pa Ka Pha (People’s Defense Force) of Pyin Oo Lwin District.

The airstrike caused significant structural damage, although no civilian casualties were reported.

Residents have been urged to relocate far from areas controlled by the SAC and to dig air raid shelters as a protective measure against further aerial attacks.

On April 8, the Public Relations and Mobilization Team of the Chin National Front (CNF), led by Major Sawl Mon, held a meeting with the Chin public, alongside officials from the Chinland Council and staff members of the Chinland Government.

During the gathering, the team engaged with the public in a warm and friendly manner and provided updates on the current situation on the ground.
